Mayoral Candidate Threatens to "Do A LOT of harm" - Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Kevin J. Johnston is known for organizing, leading and speaking at far-right protests in various provinces against government-imposed COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Johnston is currently facing an assault charge in B.C., hate crimes charges in Ontario and has made numerous posts online attempting to get the addresses of AHS employees with threats to show up at their homes armed.

I'm not a public health official so personally I'm not scared. But these people exist and likely only have marginal support, but still too much support (How much support for threat of violence and hate crime is too much?!)

Alberta has been compared to the Texas, Alabama, Kentucky etc etc of Canada, but I've always had hope for better.

There have been frequent rallies and protests attended by hundreds against bylaws and public health regulations. "I want my beer from a bar! I want to shop without a mask! I want a haircut! I want to have parties in my house!"

Businesses are not allowed to enforce masking rules due to "possibility of medical exemptions".

Alberta now leads Canada AND UNITED STATES for per capita COVID cases.

In this video from his stream, he literally says "I will do a LOT OF HARM" and repeats that he will go to these people's houses armed, and that the Alberta Health Services (AHS; provincial healthcare provider) employees will "beg on their knees for their lives and their families" because he will be given voter information for being a mayoral candidate.

The police are taking no action but someone did speak about how the police will protect the public.
