There are no space wizards wirh magic swords, no protagonists in nigh invulnerable armor, the heroes aren't perfect and the villains aren't mindless cannon fodder. So as Star Wars goes, Andor doesn't fit the mold.
Some might say that this slow paced, character driven story isn't "good Star Wars," but it's a damn good show.
Andor explores how the Empire functions and how the Rebellion begins with nuance and realism which heightens the tension and drama in ways that frenetic space battles can't.

Gotta say I was fairly disappointed with it. Felt like more of a return to "Solo" story telling than "Rogue 1"

Rogue One is easily my favourite Star Wars film, and Andor has the same dark feeling to it. Great series… ?

Star Wars is much better when there's no Skywalker bullshit.
darthstormer
It's great as a prequel because other than Andor and Mon Mothma, everyone is new, which means they are vulnerable and there's actual stakes.

When you put Obi Wan and Vader in a fight, you know absolutely nothing can actually happen to them.

Exactly

Agree, by far the best of these, great cast, great locations, great script

A SW story that nobody asked for, but turned out to be a pretty decent series. Far better than most of the drivel that Disney has put out

The Star Wars show I have been waiting for. It's the most mature story-telling I've seen from Star Wars in years.

Didn't really need to hyphenate storytelling, did I? Yet here we are.

You also messed up and said “years” instead of “light-years”
