Echo is my rescue Shep, and I can’t express how much I love this dog.
Echo was found wandering the streets, where my parents ended up getting him. As soon as I saw him, I knew I would regret it if I didn’t take up the opportunity to adopt him. We flew him up to us, and he’s been an amazing addition to the family.
By the way, shipping a dog cross-country is a pain in the ass. Worth it, but still.
Having been abandoned, there’s been some growing pains. We’ve been able to work through it all to give him a safe and happy home.
He was absolutely thrilled by his first snowfall. He likes to muzzle his way through the snow and zoom. I’ve had to force him back inside several times before the neighbors said anything.
Him and his late sister, Tink, who passed away last month from heart complications. She was equally as precious to us, and missed dearly.
Tink, too, was a rescue we got from my parents. She lived 12 long and happy years. I don’t think I’ve ever met an animal with more love in its heart.
And don’t worry- I couldn’t forget the cat tax. This is James in one of his many strange sitting positions.
And his sister, Leela. They were both also rescued off the street. Leela here took to domesticated life much faster than her brother, but they’re both amazing cats. I think I’m ruined for them for life now.
