I'm not gay, but living with other men and these kinda shenanigans we used to do, good times. I once woke up and there was a traffic cone in our kitchen. I once rented our public space to a Indian guy for the summer, when I thought the others would be away. They were suprised to find him there.

#1 Adding milk to his milk so instead of drinking 1% or 2%, he's drinking 120% milk!

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

120% milk would be #46

#32 Excellent question! Twigs in a tree - first twigs are woven into the crook of a branch. Grass nests: blades braided with beak and leg.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There are lots of different nest types, and the asker is right, that first step is a crucial bit of the skill.

#1 No, I'm not putting 'milk' in your milk

3 months ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 2

next step is a slightly longer bottle with the same lines

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why even adding milk? Just put another line below the last one. It has the same effect and you don't waste milk on the roommate.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I assume, perhaps generously, that the roommate is able to count.

3 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure, I wouldn't remember how many lines I put on the jug. The amount of lines isn't the important part, only that the line marks how much milk is left. If there's a line further down, my first question would also be if the roommate added milk. In this case, they wouldn't even lie when they answer "No". Which makes one more line even more insidious.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But milking has occurred, so enjoy your cereal

A priest, a rabbit, and a minister all go to donate blood. The nurse asks if they know their blood type. "I'm ab+" says the priest. "me too!" Says the minister. "I think I'm a typo" says the rabbit

#27 Atually something similar happened to me recently. Was in the parking lot of a McD, eating my stuff when someone tried to open the passenger door ( was autolocked). I looked over startled when he saw his mistake and went to the equally silver car parked next to me.

We had a good laugh about it but i don't know what would have happened if my door was unlocked and he actually got in.

#30 That's terrible! Do you Yanks actually call Thomas the Tank Engine, Thomas the Train?

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

only people with a barely surface knowledge of it. Anyone who is into trains uses his proper name

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Well that's relieving to know.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I am entertrained

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I assume Americans call him 'Thomas the Train', because as soon as you use the word "tank" they would immediatly try to start another war.

Working, playing, illnessing.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I imagine a person that is currently illnessing is going to have a harder-than-average time figuring out the more correct term than "illnessing". I'll give them a pass.

Can someone help me with the cream one? I don't get it. Is it wrong? #46

3 months ago | Likes 74 Dislikes 0

The dairy-free vegan substitutes are always hit-or-miss, trial and error. It is constant experimenting. There is many factors involved (texture, taste, color, thickness, smell, etc) that there isn't a straight-forward substitute. 2 exact homemade almond milk recipes can be made and ambient humidity will alter it or brand of almond flours or almond freshness.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Maybe the vegan/dairy-free substitution for butter considering it's being mixed with whole milk?

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It doesn't say to mix it with milk.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not a culinary expert. But I know the product we call heavy whipping cream is homogenized. Meaning the equal parts of milk and cream are industrially blended for such a long time at chill temps that it no longer separates and cream doesn't float to the top. What average person can efficiently reblend butter back into the milk without it turning into meringue or whipped cream or re-separating again in their recipe.

3 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

It wouldn’t likely work for whipped cream, but if you need to cook with it, it’s gonna work great.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yep. For a hot cream sauce this will be fine.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes it's wrong, it's an AI overview question. Even when they're correct they're wrong, and anyone who relies on them - ESPECIALLY if they're parroting the information to someone else who didn't ask explicitly for an AI hallucination - is an idiot.

Asking the important questions - inquiring minds want to know.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Answered parent comment, but:

That's not a substitute for heavy cream, that's just a recipe to make heavy cream.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hysterical. Thank you for taking the time to loop me in since I wouldn’t see that notification.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You are literally recreating cream from its components. Butter is churned from cream.

3 months ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 4

does it work though? my brain is thinking "there's no way you can just un-butter some butter" but honestly that would be so useful for random spur of the moment cooking

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why it's a good substitute. Cream is basically really fatty milk so add fat to milk and it works as a substitute for cream. It's actually a good answer to the question

3 months ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 2

And if you add milk to fat, you get me. Hello. I'm here all week. Twice on Sundays. Thanks for coming, tip your waitresses.

3 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

If you say so. -flips waitress over-

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Having had to look for substitutes for my husband's allergies for years, the fact that 'substitute' can mean 'replacement for' or 'the same fucking thing' annoys me intently. Found what I thought was a replacement for eggs, called "egg substitute" in its own packaging. Ingredients? Eggs.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In gemstone appraising, a synthetic contains the same ingredients and an imitation is made of other stuff but looks like the item needed.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, if you have milk and butter on hand but not cream, this saves you the trip to the store to get cream.

3 months ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Important: make sure both ingredients are at room temp and that the butter is melted beforehand, or the temperature imbalance will cause the butter to resolidify and ruin the emulsion, and thus, any roux you attempt to make with it.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You will roux the day!

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Whole lot of people getting hung up on the word "substitute". Don't have cream, but have milk and butter, do this. = now you have cream.

3 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Often, someone's looking for a substitute not for lack of ingredients, but for a desire or need (due to allergies, for example) to use different ingredients.

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

So they should do something else not this. Doesn't make this not a remedy for not having cream.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean it did say coconut cream at the bottom to satisfy that request
