Hey Vasquez? Ever been mistaken for a man? No. Have you?

Hey Sukuna, have you ever been mistaken for a man?

No. Have you?

Most assuredly not.

"wait for it..." these 3 words ruin every meme

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Screw the 10 pull ups, those are easy. 10 pull ups in an L sit, fucking A.

2 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Whats an L sit? Is that what she was doing?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Put your feet out directly in front of you, like she did. Gives you an extra ab workout

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Was going to say this. The added abdominal stress makes it much more impressive. I can do knees out pretty easily, but a full L is hard as hell.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sukuna deez nuts!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean, it's easy when you have that much Curse Energy

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nobody was surprised

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’m not turned on, you are

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those Marines certainly are.

2 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

When i tried it they demanded straight legs no bending

2 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 4

Were your legs perfectly still, or were you using some small leg/ab thrust for extra momentum?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bending isn't cheating if you're legs don't move.

2 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Bending isn't cheating at all. If you're kicking to thrust yourself up on every rep, then you're just doing poor pull ups, but bending your legs does not functionally reduce the workload on your shoulders and back.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I am fairly certain that I couldn't keep my legs out in front of me that long, let alone while doing chin-ups. But, can she... um... nevermind, she almost certainly can.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holding an "L" like this is more difficult than having the legs straight down or bent backward at the knee.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The legs were straight. The hips were just bent

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You don't have to be straight to be in the military anymore.

2 years ago | Likes 106 Dislikes 0

No bending though!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Give it a couple months 🥲

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

what about just my legs

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After the third they're not even pretending not to be impressed.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I can do that, too! By "that" i mean stand around and count to 10. Well, at least I can stand around. Or let's say "sit around" if there's a chair nearby. And I woudn't snore. At least not very loud.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I expect no less from the King of Curses.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

"Not bad," my ass, it's freaking badass!

2 years ago | Likes 139 Dislikes 3

As ex military it is only "not bad" in the realm of PT active duty does. It's not an insult. It is just what you would expect someone to be capable of at an entrance level.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

When some people say 'not bad,' I know they're not very impressed. When other people say 'not bad,' I feel good about it for weeks because I know I genuinely surprised them.

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

With some people it's like a Vulcan calling you 'adequate".

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Growing up that was a compliment in my family

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Look at his constant and nonstop reactions. He's thoroughly impressed...

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, freaking badass is "not bad" in the marines.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

That's because the marines are losers.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 22

Found the Army POG.

2 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Service members are generally losers. It doesn't matter what branch you are.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't get why they're surprised; the person is obviously in great shape

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

i consider myself to be in good shape. do sports regularly, eat relatively healthy, no excess weight, even some muscle tone - but i sure as hell couldn't even dream of doing THAT, lol. it's impressive AF to me - even though you're right about her obviously looking like she's in great shape.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I consider myself in terrible shape, worst shape of my life. haven't done any sports regularly, eat terribly, not active. I can do this. I tried it right after I watched. I can't stretch my legs out perfectly straight but I never could even in high school when I did 25-30 in a row whenever I walked through my door. It's impressive but I don't see why people are overexaggerating it so far. She's obviously in amazing shape, but 10 chin ups isn't that hard

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

she's doing clean pull-ups though, not chin-ups, which are generally considered more challenging. thumb over the grip too. that said, 10 good chin-ups is still pretty nice for someone who considers themselves out of shape, and 25-30 clean chin-ups is also impressive - at least to me. :)

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok, pull ups, idk the difference. I set my grip the way she did.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

well you've got a strong back and arms then, good sir. i find pull-ups rather difficult, so i am impressed that you can do 10 just like that - while considering yourself out of shape no less...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They don't seem surprised.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

"Now that we have you here....."

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You gotta do twenty to get a coffee mug.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went to the auto show in Detroit, the marines were there with a rock climbing wall. I shot up the thing so fast they're mouth were open. They're like "dude! Have you ever considered joing the marines?"

"Sorry guys, I'm Canadian. We can all do that." Lol got a good laugh

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's the point of the rock climbing wall and they would say that to anyone that did even remotely well.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

which this guy did, and should be proud of.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think you're missing the point, it's just a recruiting tool.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I watched about 15 people struggle on the easy side. Easy medium hard expert. I went up the expert just for fun. I was aware of the point of the thing. I wanted to get them going them say I was Canadian.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're not trying to take away the pride the commenter feels. They're pointing out the fact that it's recruiters jobs to drop their jaw and say "never seen that, have you considered enlisting? You'd be promoted as fast as you got up that wall" this guy can, is, and should be proud. I've known tons of people, including me, that did the little challenges and blew away the recruiters. Just so good you have to enlist. It's a sales technique.

And on that rickety assed Costco pull-up bar

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that a penis tent?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Back in the day I could rip off 35 easy, I was lighter and fit. Good job to her awesome core strength.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That one dude really appreciate this

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Over hand without wrapping the thumb too ... That's badass in a way that a lot of people probably wouldn't even notice or appreciate

2 years ago | Likes 335 Dislikes 8

I know that is the best grip but my fingers are too short to do it.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My exact thought ... this is flaunting it to those that know

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You made that up.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

What's that about?

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

The thumb provides more grip. Which adds a lot of strength. Among plenty of other things that I am too dumb to explain

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

I just tried both, didn't notice any difference in difficulty. The important thing is to keep your knuckles on top of the bar.

2 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

It doesnt make the pull up harder, just makes you use more effort on maintaining your grip.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Military uses this for a specific reason though, you can’t underhand a wall you’re climbing without considerable preparation or perferation.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's essentially a chin-up. It's not more impressive, despite theZade trying to imply that they perceive some additional quality to it.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Having correct form.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's the best way to do a pull-up if you have or want to reduce elbow pain. It's actually not that impressive on its own, just another way to grip. Most people who can do pullups would probably find this grip the most comfortable for standard pullups.

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

thank you for this information! knowing ways to safely improve health and fitness is very important. also, my elbows hurt when i do pull-ups, so i'll try this!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Wow. Thanks for the tip. With a lot of time on the assisted pull up machine, I've worked my way up to ONE natural pull up. And my elbows hurt.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Try this grip and make sure to activate your scapular muscles. Look up a "scapular pull up" and consider adding them into your routine. You can do them assisted but you might find it easier to try unassisted as well.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This grip does nothing to reduce elbow pain. If you have elbow pain while doing pull ups. Stop doing pull ups for a few days, try to reduce inflammation in your joints, and try again to see if the exercise still causes pain. If it does, see a god damn doctor. It's a narrower grip and closer to a chin up.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

As someone that has to torque their heavy body for every pull up, this dude ain't wrong. Just saying.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Not bad." Bitch, you do it then! I love when a woman outdoes a man in ANYTHING.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

if he's active duty marine, i'm pretty sure he can do 10 pullups

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Chin ups are harder for women than men. He can probably do twice that, and "not bad" is a compliment. My cousin in the marines stayed with my family and laughed when I could only do 22. There's no evidence she's outdoing anyone, and no evidence they aren't impressed and supportive. Why make it out to be what it isn't?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Valid, but my mindset was that most men would say a woman couldn't have done that. She outdid expectations.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She outdid expectations, partly because she's a woman, but also because most people regardless of sex can't do that. Like I said, "not bad" is a compliment. 10 would outdo their expectations for almost anyone.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You said she outdid a man, now you're saying she outdid expectations. What she did was impressive, whether she outdid a man or not. Just give her that, why make it contentious

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't make a new statement. I clarified how I meant my original. You are the one saying that I said one thing then another.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We both agree she was impressive, we're not communicating well and that's probably just the fault of the medium we're communicating with. I honestly think we both agree she's great and don't need to keep this up. It's not worth it and we barely disagree, if we even do. You're right, she's impressive and exceeded expectations. Loved seeing it
