5 cups Flour.
2 cups sugar.
1.5 cups (3 sticks) butter, softened.
4 eggs.
2tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Cream butter and sugar together until smooth.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Slowly add the rest of the dry ingredients until dough is formed.

You may need to hand knead the dough at the very end to mix the last bits in!

Separate into 3 parts, wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Dust your work surface with powdered sugar (not flour), roll out to desired thickness (1/8th to 1/4 inch for best results) and cut to your desired shapes!

Bake at 400°F for 8-11 minutes, or until edges JUST begin to turn golden brown.

Decorate as you wish! (I use royal icing, and parchment cones to do fancy decoration, but any icing method will work!)

Admire your cookies!

THEN EAT THEM.

Ikr? I wonder how many more cookies it would make if I could refrain from eating like half of it during baking...

I did! 5 egg whites (or equal in a substitute) and 2lbs confectioners sugar. Adding water a bit at a time to thin it to right consistency.
