Most of the time, the politician serves real customers... the business is open to the public and people come in and place orders and the politician does the thing... this wasn't 1/10th of that... the cops set up a perimeter and the public was not allowed with 50m of the place.
It's one thing for a politician to arrange a photo op where they actually do something; it's another for them to set up a total Potemkin village. A politician prepping or dispensing food at a soup kitchen could be the former; "washing" a pot that's already been cleaned (as, if I remember correctly, Paul Ryan did in 2012) or cosplaying as a worker in a McDonald's (Trump 2024) that's actually closed to the public is the latter.
They announced he would be doing it in advance. Did you really thing they'd just let him show up unannounced, walk behind the counter and start making fries?
They closed the dining room and kept the drive through open. As a contractor I do work for MCD and this is what happens with small remodels such as the menu's being replaced with LCD displays. I'm sure you'd agree that keeping the dining room open would have been a no-go by the secret service. As for it being a photo op, well yeah, that's what politicians do. It's no different than Harris going on a late night talk show and making a big deal out of drinking a beer.
I don't have to have the experience of a contractor that works with McDs to know the sign on the door says closed. Your experience means nothing when there is evidence.
This is such a Repugnican tactic of claiming what they feel rather than listening to evidence. Watches 1000 hours of Fox and Newsmax telling you to be scared of migrants and inflation, someone points out statistics of both being down and responds with "but I feel scared of both of them"

Good thing I stopped going to McDonalds 20+ years ago. Shitty food goes well with shitty taste.

Of course it was fake, you don't really think they would let that moron touch food for customers. I wonder hw much they paid the McD's owner
LustrousShadow
It was obviously fake, but let's be real-- their concern was having Trump deal with us "dirty poors," rather than sanitation.

you mean like every time a politician does something? this isnt the gotcha you think it is.

The point is they shut the place down. He didn't 'work in a McDonald's', he cosplayed and served fake customers.

Are you saying you believe there is less illegal immigration since Biden took office? If not, when was it high, that now it's down?
BrownestofCoats
It's been lower since the Republicunts finally admitted they weren't going against their cult leader's wishes and Biden had to do something.
