Took my girl in for an abdominal ultrasound. Good news/Bad news. She does indeed have a liver tumor, but it does not effect her gallbladder or spleen. Also, so far, has not metastasized or spread to any other organs including her heart or lungs. We have changed her medication and are hoping that with the new information and treatment she will get more time and continue to be happy and pain free.

Moral of the story: Age is not a disease! Just because your pet is older does not mean that you shouldn't bother with vet care. Routine exams are important and catching things early can lead to a better outcome.
