This totem pole is beside the Tim Hortons in Nipigon, and it took me a year and a half of stopping there before I noticed it

White Hawk Lake scale, Ontario/Manitoba border

South East Alberta is flat as shit. Nothing really grows in this stretch, so there's no farms, no trees, not much of anything but a lot of cows and oil derricks

I can't remember the closest town to this point, I just remember it's roughly an hour west of Thunder Bay

There's a place in Winnipeg we went to to get our trailers washed out (you do a lot of that if you haul food) and this beaut is their shunt truck

I forget the name of this place. It's in northern Ontario, and as far as truck parking goes it's just a widened stretch of shoulder on each side of the two lane highway. There's a rest area where you can park cars and RVs with washrooms and this nice little lake. It's a nice place to spend the night, but sleeping in a truck parked on the side of the highway is risky

That Challenger truck got a free wash when that storm rolled through

Canada Day 2017 (150th anniversary of confederation) in Brandon, Manitoba. The Husky truck stop there, like most other Huskies, is no longer as nice as it used to be. But they all have those big Canadian flags and I love that

Fatal accident near the Ontario/Manitoba border had us all shut down for a few hours

Not my trailer thankfully. Even on pavement, it's a good idea to put pads of some kind under the landing gears of the trailer you're dropping so this doesn't happen

Vermilion Bay scale in north western Ontario

Also in Vermillion Bay. It's a fuckin Samsquantch. A ten footer by the looks of it

I told you, Bubs. Saskatchewans aren't real. (Note the little Canadian flags on the antennas. I always rocked those, and kept spares in the truck for when they would get too ratty)

I only went as far west as Calgary and Edmonton, so this was the closest I could get to the Rockies.

Fuck if I remember where this is

There's a rest area about 15 minutes east of Nipigon on hwy 17 that you can fit a couple trucks in. It overlooks that bay, which is at least few hundred feet below the rest area

Same bay. I loved when I could spend the night there. There's absolutely no light pollution, so on a clear night you can see more stars than your brain can comprehend

This is only a glimpse of the result of an entire trailer being loaded wrong and spilling forward. I don't know how much the damage claim was, but I know it took 9 hours to clean it all up

The prairies might not be for everybody, but they have some of the best sun sets I've ever seen

I'm not native to the prairies, so I'm fascinated by the old grain elevators

I keep this picture to remind me that hauling a 53 foot reefer trailer, even one with 3 axles instead of 2, ain't shit compared to this guys load

This strikes me as the Husky in Acheson, just outside Edmonton

A massive distribution warehouse, and they still put me in a door this tight. Look at the trailer door on the side of the trailer, and look how close it is to the yellow bollard

One trip through Saskatchewan, I took a detour south of Regina and visited Dog River (actually called Rouleau)
