6' 4", once you hit 300lbs, you start to build massive amounts of muscle if you are moving around at any decent amount. Back then, you had to move around. Walking to stores, around the house, etc. You just couldn't be sedentary like today. Yea hes fat, but has a ton of muscle and that weighs more.
Well known as the man who broke the frame of 275 Cleveland bicycle company bike frames and, having them replaced under the lifetime warranty, forced the company into bankruptcy. Not a joke, actual fact.
Holy crap that company was stupid. I would have made one from solid bar stock and no more frame issues. All the rest of the stuff might be a issue but would have been far cheaper to deal with.
Maybe. But even just some thicker walled tube steel could have helped. Back then people being this large was very very uncommon. I think it could have been an asset if it had been done the right way. Joe also might have been just mangling the bikes intentionally.

Make one with sharp spikes all over, including on the seat.

Make him his own frame?
G0MeatCube
Might as well. He's close to 500 lbs

Make his own frame, or make nearly 300. Which makes the most sense?

I agree it would solve Joe's problem but I wonder if it would create a marketing problem?
