When we moved to this small Ontario town 4.5 years ago, we didn’t know anyone in the area other than my grandparents and started playing Pokémon Go in an attempt to get out of the house. When the game added group raids I started harassing people and eventually got a raiding group together on WhatsApp. Two of the members are now married and pregnant with their first baby. This couple collects Pokémon cards etc, and are pretty hardcore fans of the game. As such, I had to make a pull-along Lapras for them. It’s been years since I did any painting other than walls, but I think it turned out pretty cute.

I only had shitty wood and we were in lockdown. I also don’t have a scroll saw, and had to use a jig saw. It was a bit tricky.
I tried to find wooden wheels in the area but there were none to be found. Ah well, hole drill saw to the rescue.
First coat of paint plus some shell details
Ended up adding flippers on the outside to help stabilize the toy- as a parent, dealing with a toddler who’s toy keeps falling over is... not fun.
