Where's the final step where you throw it in the garbage and go out for chicken parmigiana?

Served on some ratatouille, and it looks like a nice pile on brains on blood and gore...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That looks so delicious.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Doesn't look bad. But, I would rather chop it up in more bite sized pieces. Also as @badbmc said, I would put some parmesan cheese too.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

uh I love cauliflower! *Starts to put so many different ingredient on it that the taste of of cauliflower is gone*

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Food for your brain.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That looks good !

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

I'll eat it raw, don't cook my veggies, pls.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You'll never convince me that tastes just as good as real brains

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Do you like prions? Because that's how you get prions.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

@BlackCats4ever another to add to your Halloween food list!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is great! Thanks for he heads-up my friend!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This looks good. But for some reason I was expecting parmesan cheese.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It would be good. This is a vegan recipe.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I only eat cauliflower one way. Steam it, let it air dry on a towel, tempura batter and fry, a drizzle of chili oil.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Something is wrong with his medula oblongata.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ew

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Low carb, use egg wash and almond meal in place of panko bread crumbs. Tiny octopus makes fried chicken with almond flour.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Nah panko crumbs are amazing

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They are also not a low-carb ingredient. 1/2 c. of panko has about 21g net carbs. Almond flour has 4g net carbs.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

No one asked you

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still salty about the SEO recommendations? Tiny octopus finds that amusing.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Nope but it just brought it to my attention that you travel around Imgur giving unasked for advice in a condescending fashion

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmm, isnt the part at the centre kind of tough though? Its always annoyingly tough when I boil it.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

If your brain section looks like that, you have severe alzheimers. The ventricles should not be that large. Please eat healthy brains.

Now only if I liked cauliflower

4 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 3

Omggggg I love cauliflower it is literally one of my favorite foods ?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s the best property cooked. Toss with garlic, oil, salt and pepper and brown it in the broiler. Best veggie ever.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

it's probably my most hated food, not a big fan of the smell. It's gotten better over the years but still probably the one thing I dislike.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bake it and flavor it and pretty much any veggy is good af.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck cauliflower

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It has great texture and absorbes flavors greatly so it tastes amazing if you cook it right and like garbage if you don't´.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you say you don’t like cauliflower, people be like: it’s the best if you drown it in sauce and flavours and make it so you can’t taste it

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 6

I mean. Same can be said about chicken breasts. They taste pretty horrible if you don't season them and boil them in unsalted water.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s called cooking and using spices.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Look just cover it in fats that dont taste like cauliflower, seasonings that dont either, and broil the hell out of it, and it tastes great!

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Break cauli into florets. Toss a in mixture of salt, pepper, paprika. Grill on BBQ plate until starting char a bit and get crunchy. Consume.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

20% or so dislike cauliflower because they are genetically disposed to taste PTC in it; which is bitter and farty. The rest of us love it.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Really love cauliflower, the chopped parsley does nothing, leave it out ro save on resources. Freshly chopped parsley is a finishing topper.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chickpea flour eh. Almost pakora

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm doing this!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Need more spices!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If i'm going to eat something in the broccoli family, I'd prefer roast brussel sprouts.

Stfu, cauliflower is delicious

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 4

Ugh. Too much trouble. I'll just have a fart sandwich, thanks.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Holy shit. I snorted reading this. What the fuck.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sounds like you've eaten rotten cauliflower there mate.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Always thought it tasted like almonds but, you do you

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Hilarious story, thanks for the laughs xD

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really enjoy cruciferous vegetables, but I understand that the sulfur taste can be really off-putting.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

When riced cauliflower isn't fresh it smells like death.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cauliflower is really good in my opinion. I once did turn it into mashed potatoes mixed in ground beef and some tomato paste and it was good

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Anything with beef and tomato is usually good

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Top comment kinda doesn't work with this

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yep. No matter who/how it's cooked. All I taste is farts.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

You might be genetically disposed to taste PTC . Approx 20% is. They don't like it.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love cauliflower, but damn this is hilarious.

4 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

I live that the top two comments are basically "I love cauliflower", and "cauliflower tastes like manicured farts".

4 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I like cauliflower, but that shit's funny.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I personally hate it, and all attempts to turn it into something else fail miserably. All I can taste is cauliflower, and I am disappoint.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No, it does not taste like potatoes. It tastes like cauliflower, which is amazing when it caramelized.

4 years ago | Likes 118 Dislikes 8

Try a cauliflower mushroom, prepare to have your mind completely blown.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Toss in a pinch of caraway seeds.... oh baby

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I had someone try to make "mashed potatoes" with cauliflower. I just couldn't get past it and I love lots of veggies.

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

50/50 potatoes cauli mash is pretty good

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That's how I do it, half cauliflower and half Yukon gold taters, cooked in chicken broth.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I never pretend it's a potato but it can have a similar texture and flavor to hominy if done correct.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like riced cauliflower, but mashed is too....watery.

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Drain them well and don't add milk like you might with potatoes. Yum. Butter, pepper and salt.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You have to really wring them out, you can't just mash them and expect good results.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You can also if you're being lazy steam/boil them. Strain. Mash it down and then cook off some of the moisture with lid off for like 5-10min

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

why replace potato, a vegetable, with another vegetable?

Cauliflower is great in recipes. Cauliflower can fuck right the hell off when it's pretending to be something it's not. /1

4 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 5

It tastes just like a steak! No it fucking doesn't, Brenda. /2

4 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

It's pretending to be brains. I think we're good!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You want to eat real brains?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

maybe they're French.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't know me. And yes. I'm southern. We buy brains in the grocery store in cans and jars.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't know me. And yes.

We have a vegan burger place near us we refer to as "Terrible burger, great food" when getting people to try it lol

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah a gardenburger can be great, if you don't try to mimic the taste and texture of a real burger, just make something tasty.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"chickpea flour" okay I guess they're going for a gluten-free sort of thi-- "panko breadcrumbs" ...........okay...

4 years ago | Likes 417 Dislikes 6

I think I’d go almond flour and crushed pork rinds.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I've not had chickpea flour, but chickpeas have a flavor that I could see going well with cauliflower. Maybe its for flavor?

4 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

They make gluten free panko.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Chickpea flour is used as a batter in lots of places around the world. Works really well.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The chickpea batter makes an incredibly light and crisp outer layer, falsará better than egg which goes soft. It’s great for fritters too.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I said the same thing.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a good egg substitute in this type of situation

4 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 1

Panko has egg in it

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Panko is wheat flour, yeast, oil, and salt, unless you're looking for some particular brand, I guess.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

this, i think its an egg substitute more than anything. the fact that its also a flour skips a step.

4 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

It seems like it would adhere to the cauliflower better than egg.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Why bother with an egg substitute though if you use panko breadcrumbs? That contains egg as well.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Kikkoman panko does not.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's vegan. Do an egg dredge if not vegan for better results. Also spice your flour and egg to enhance flavors if desired.

4 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 0

My wife’s allergic to beans; I’ll have to try it this way.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

v

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Panko breadcrumbs contain egg though....

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

Shhh.......

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The part that bothers me is the tiny amount of paprika

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

It's sweet paprika too, not a huge amount of flavour. I would for sure add much more!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If it was smoked paprika, that would be about right. For sweet paprika it's definitely not enough.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

was super sad it wasnt gluten free

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's mostly gf. Just use a rice panko! You can find it at trader Joe's or most other gf grocery store sections.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just use a rice panko :)

Fried cauliflower is so fucking good. I'm not even a vegan, it's just good af.

4 years ago | Likes 806 Dislikes 17

You're a psychopath. Cauliflower anything is gross.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

Whole cauli either rub with oil, lime and mexican spice, or yogurt, lemon, indian spices. Roast covered for 20mins uncovered 20 mins.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I tried broccoli recently, then immediately tried cauliflower. The broccoli was so bitter I couldn't taste the cauliflower:(

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about air fryer? Any good recipes for cali?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You're a psychopath. Cauliflower anything is gross.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

I use buttermilk, its delicious

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There's a vegan place near me that does General Tso's cauliflower as a happy hour appetizer. But you can also order it by the sheet pan.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Dear God. That sounds delicious.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's addictive. Texture and flavor bomb.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah just have then boiled with gravy fucking delicious

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ew boiled no thanks

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why ew it's a vegetable that's how 90% of people cook them

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just don't eat my cauliflower boiled is all

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It retains so much water I guess

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah if you super overcook it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well this is baked, so...

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nein to baked, yes to fried

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

We have a place near us that has fried cauliflower with a similar crust to KFC. I could eat enough of that to kill me in one sitting.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hell yes. Even broccoli too. Toss it in some Thai chilli sauce or honey and Korean chilli paste is BOMB

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Have a favorite recipe for it? The only way I've has that was at a Japanese ramen shop.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I usually just do it like I'm breading my Italian chicken cutlets. Egg, flour, breadcrumb, egg, breadcrumb, fry

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I could eat 5lbs of cauli cheese in one sitting, I reckon. Frying it is also good, but takes more effort and delays the cauli-cheese intake

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This just seems like Americanized pakoras

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What's pakoras?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's an "Indian vegetable fritter"

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sounds tasty. Reminds me of a samosa kinda?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorta but more like hush puppies with being able to tell there are vegetables in there

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes! First thing I thought of when I saw the chickpea flour.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I grill it. So damn good. I'll brush it with a good Italian dressing. That a nice cut of meat... that's living.

4 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 0

Don't know why they call this stuff Hamburger Helper. Does just fine all by itself!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You should try using big ass mushrooms as buns for a burger. It's a game changer

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Yeah getting a nice char on cauli tastes so good

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love cauliflower, but not sure what vegan has anything to do with it.

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

Vegans use cauliflower as a substitute for a lot of foods they can't have, and many try to brag about it being just as good or better.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 6

I use it a lot in meatless dishes, but never pretend it's something else. Idk my favorite way is olive oil and tumeric

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My SIL is one of the vegan stereotypes that does what I previously said. It's annoying af. Cauliflower is a good sub, but not it's the same.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As an omnivore, myself, I think cauliflower can be made really well in those, but by itself, steamed soft with warm butter is my favorite.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Well when it's presented in steaks like that it's usually presented as a vegan alternative that's all.

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

Maybe, I'll eat it with a steak haha. How on fire are you?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yea to me it's a good side to a steak or a piece of fish or chicken. And I'm pretty on fire, I think

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You could always be even moar on fire LOL, but I'm biased

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Place near me smothers it in buffalo sauce and serves it as a vegan alternative to buffalo wings and I swear it’s damn near as food.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Place I went to last week did this.... It was pretty damn good...

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn near as good* stupid autocorrect.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn near as food made me laugh. I thought it was an excellent insult. But yeah, cauliflower Buffalo wings are awesome.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's so good. Strangely mimics the texture of chicken.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy vegetables

4 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 4

No one said that.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 21

Why was this downvoted? Literally no one said that

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
