I'm not mad. Okay that's a lie, I'm fupping furious.

Wrestle with bolts for 45 minutes, finally get flat tire off. Put on spare tire...spare tire not made to fit the car. There is no way to attatch the wheel safely. Why am I whining about this you ask? Luckily I was in the garage, but what if I'd been stuck in a storm somewhere and needed to get to safety?

Check that your spare wheel fits your car!

Also make sure your jack can lift your car enough to put the spare on. I didn't know I had to worry about that until I had to worry about it

To add to your point: if you have wheel lug locks, make sure you have the key before you have to find out the hard way.

If you get a puncture, don't use that stuff IF you can avoid it. Completely fucks the tyre when you could have probably just had it patched.

if you buy a new car, pay the extra for the spare tire. majority come with just a can of flx a flat these days

Do new cars (that don't have drive flat tires) come without spares? Serious question, I thought they all at least had a donut.

there was also a report, over 50% of drivers dont know how to change a spare anyway so manufacturers were like "oh shit lets save some $$"

majority of all new cars have no spares. Doesnt matter what tires they have. Keeps weight down, boost mpg due to less weight and cost less.

good news! depending on brand, like a Hyundai for example. You can easily grab a spare for like $25 at junk yard vs $400+ at dealer.
