If you read one fiction story by Tolkien that I think captures his entire ethos, even more than LOTR, read "Leaf by Niggle."

I really hope one day @Ngugi does a lore post about it, even if it doesn't fit the normal.mode exactly, but it is kinda this meme.

#1 Unless those pasties are being propped up for the photo they are not Cornish Pasties. Cornish pasties must legally be D shaped, with the curved crimped edge running along the side. If the crimped edge runs over the top down the middle it cannot legally be called a Cornish Pastie.

#1 - I once had an older gentleman co-worker in Southern California from Stoke-on-Trent, England who told me about Pasties. I made a batch and brought some to work. He said they were pretty good and thanked me for bringing back some good memories. They were so much work I never made them again.
