Yes you are! It's just a negative one! Cost of living goes up; paycheck stays the same = your pay is getting docked. (by larger economic forces, but still)
If your employer can't keep paying you the same effective wages, then it's time to look for another job, where presumably because you are new, you can negotiate a better wage.
Until the next time inflation goes up, and then you have to do the same thing over and over.
And employers wonder why people switch jobs so often.
Sadly I cannot. If I do that the students will suffer greatly, a lot of them already filled to the brim with problems. I won't do that to them, I'll just tough it out for now, cutback on my spending and save more of what I would have spent. I'll hurt the economy in my own way, even if it is negligible.

Jokes on us, we aren't even getting a COL adjustment this year.

I don't know about you, but I haven't had a legit COL adjustment in over a decade.

We used to get one every year, 500$. Not this year because of Dump.

Been looking for over 2 years, haven't had a bit of luck.

Sounds like your employer is going to get a cost of work adjustment then. Less pay (via not keeping up with inflation) = less work. https://media2.giphy.com/media/v1.Y2lkPWE1NzM3M2U1Mm1pbjRkdjc4dzFtbGFhczc2eGhlcGU1cGhjdjNndm84M2dpN3loZyZlcD12MV9naWZzX3NlYXJjaCZjdD1n/24Do2EXP3Qbok/200w.webp
