Well, it's an Epee, but yes, the blade was broken already. We've got piles of broken blades at the club.

Anyone ever do something cool with them? I knew a guy that took his broke hockey sticks and made a coffee table out of them, was pretty cool

Fencing gear does have a shelf life. I had an epee shatter for me while saluting the judge.

That's amazing! I've had an Epee blade break during the test, and a French grip foil break inside the grip during a drill.

1) OP's fake blood would suddenly look much more realistic.

2) I cut the blade, bent it 90° and attached to a wooden square padded with leather. It kept the Epee from wobbling and would diffuse impact
