Today celebrates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It lists the acts of tyranny that justify the Declaration. I consider reading them a minimum requirement of this day. The paragraph immediately after them is also particularly powerful. Anyone who does not stand by them by definition cannot be a patriot or claim to be proud to be American.

Correct me if wrong but: ABC news has not done a national story, some local stations have carried it (quoting non-cbs sources), CBS has seemingly not carried it at all, CNN has carried it in print only on their site, MSCBN does note seem to have carried it in any meaningful capacity, and so on. It's not getting actual meaningful news media coverage.

I was in the Air Force and one of the first things they said in Basic regarding our right to protest is that we can protest all we want while off duty, but under no circumstance can you wear your uniform. It's explicitly stated in the UCMJ. So he's absolutely getting a court martial, but he knows this. Which honestly makes me respect him more.
