MortythePenguin
I love this pizza and I make it all the time
Mayyybe
Fuck that looks great.... but I am lazy and will always order pan pizza from Pizza Hut
GiNgErSnApBiTcH
no soggy bottoms
Mayokopp
Foolproof you say? Watch me
slinky104
I made this a couple summers ago. It’s tasty crust with a good texture. Would recommend
chiefwill
135 grams of water.....?
blahblahblerf
You leave the mixing bowl on a kitchen scale while adding ingredients. Easy way to add the precision you need for consistent baking results.
steveo80
AmityvilleHodor
No more delivery for me
theMaplekindyea
In an interview ice said he did that shot on his first try
GiveMeSpice
Where were going... We no-knead dough...
ColdestOne
Looks good!
ExTechOp
What country do you live in, where you weigh all the items in grams (I usually use volumes) but also use °F for oven temperature (287°C)?
BeerAndChips
I'm not OP, but it's very common in Canada to have oven and BBQ temps in F, but weighing ingredients in g. Personally, I use volume, too.
Loquatsandwildhoney
If you’re not letting your dough rise for 24hours, you’re missing out. Two hours at room then in the fridge it goes
brainstrain
This looks so good but DiGiorno is so easy.
NZSheeps
But is it good?
Yeah, the pizzeria style DiGiorno's are actually delicious.
Making it right now
CreepyPhlox
You lost me “the next day”. I’d already be eating pizza by the time you’re done mixing the dough.
I just made this. It's pretty fucking good
kisselFL
vesperlynd
Considering the wait I'll stick to my regular 2h dough that needs to be rolled out. No special effects but I'll get fed the same day.
ElSuperbeasto
Grams you say? NEXT!
miskatonichiker
I’ve used this recipe and it’s great.
funeralpyre
Damn! That crust looks amazing!
chadwich
Looks great but small. I'm gonna need like 3 of them.
dalml
Damn, that's a lot of cast iron pans.
needanamedammit
I have three cast iron pans.
SheDevilinaSnuggie
I was thinking tripling or quadrupling the recipe and freezing the dough. Take it out the night before, prep toppings, 2nd rise ..badaboom!
TylerVelte
If you notice, this amount of dough makes 4 pizzas
I dont think you understand.. if I quadruple it, I can have 4 times as much on hand. This is Murrica! Muh pizza freedoms!
Also I make foccacia bread for mates, so a good big dough recipe is nice to have, for potlucks etc.
Undrave
135 grams of water? Don't you mean 135 ml? And who the heck mesures OLIVE OIL in grams?!
Dranolth
I wouldn't recommend storing raw dough. Not even in a freezer. Cook it with some of the sauce and save it that way. 1/?
For when you want to eat it, defrost it, add the topings and shove it in the oven at mid-high temp, melting the cheese and not burning it2/2
Chainhealer
So we measure the food in metric but the temperature in Fahrenheit. Where on earth do they do that?
imthatguyweknow
The intent is to measure by with rather volume when it comes to dough.

200g flour = 1cup. 5g salt = 1tsp. 2g yeast = 1tsp (about). 4g olive oil = 1tsp (about). The water is strange, closest is 1/2 cup = 125g.
So I would write that recipe as - 1cup flour, 1/2 cup water, 1tsp each of salt, yeast & olive oil.
nobody in metric measures their water in grams either. Gonna use a cup (or fraction of) for liquids. Same for all the other ingredients.
No we use mililiters mostly for liquids.
saltyapplejuice
You do if you use a scale. Gram measurements are nice when making breads.
I need to make more bread then :)
RogueEnthusiast
Um...... What’s a gram of water?
theplayahaterball
1 liter of water is 1kg because metric is not retarded
There are around 195 countries in the world, only three use the metric system and two of them are third world countries.
Did you confuse metric and imperial there buddy?
Sorry, yeah that comment isn’t great. I thought you said the metric system was retarded and then I meant to say imperial but said metric
about tree fiddy depending on your dealer...
Get the fuck outta here god damn Loch Ness monster, you ain’t foolin’ me.
amoebasUNITE
Can I question the "550" degree oven? Should I just try to shoot the thing directly into the sun, first?
I have no means to make anything that hot, besides perhaps setting my house on fire.
MischievousDango
For pizza you basically want it as high as it will go
Bunsen
Pizza likes high temperatures. I've heard of people running wood-fired ovens over 700 F and baking for like 2 minutes.
bufmoo
hoooo boy the crispy-ness MMMM
Gaehhn
Most pizza recipes I know say 350°C which is 662°F.
read "overnight" and then skipped the rest -
Thanatos121
Yep. "No skill required", except a fuckton of patience for a fuckin pizza.
TobySomething
Read overnight and then scrolled down looking for this gif. +1
twozerooz
Especially since it looks exactly like one from any decent pizza shop
ColonelColon
Well, really, everybody got time for that because you're just leaving it there.
Yeah, but when I want to make pizza, I want to make it NOW, not in 24-hr time.
EnigmaNL
Just make a large batch of pizza dough and keep it in the freezer (after letting it rise). It can be kept for up to 3 months.
Yep, that would be a good plan. Still doesn't remove the first 24hr wait when I decide to make it though :)
24 hours is stupid though. Whenever I make pizza dough 2 to 3 hours rising is all it takes.
jokerlives
We live in a microwave culture. Everyone wants instant results.
I get what you mean, I'm not like that though. I'm just not into waiting overnight for pizza dough.
Skye92
You could probably just grab pre-made pizza dough from a store instead of making it yourself.
What am I going to complain/whinge about then ??
banjak
You expect us to *wait* 24hrs, then another 2hr just for dough. Plus all the faffing about? I can have one delivered here in around 20mins.
UnusuallyDank
8$ 3 topping large from domino's sounds too efficient for me to pass up.

Looks like you have no need for no knead dough

a take away around here is about 20 quid and takes 20 mins. This recipt takes 24 hours and costs maybe a fiver. Choose your poison
Applepotamus
I'm gonna get an American pizza for 5 American dollars

Faffing
IamNotAshamed
Patience is a skill I do not have, at least when it comes to cooking
LillyVixen
Legit why I learned to make faster rising dough. I used to do this recipe, but it's too much planning. Now I only have to wait 1.5 hours.
TheOkayMan
This is why I love Little Ceasars $5 Hot N Ready!

kittenkawa11
good? ehhh....... for 5$ it's okay, I think papa murphy's wins on value overall though (as long as you're willing to bake it)
TheRubberBandit
ITS HOT. AND IT’S READY.
RichCorinthian
Cooking is a key life skill and it saves you money. And there is nothing like a pizza STRAIGHT out of the fucking oven.
peikkos
Where can I get one of these fucking ovens? Can I...put my dick in it?

But if you are willing to wait you can make more for the same money or less ;) 24h in exchange for 4 pizzas ?
DougDeNasty
One day of Dominos while you work, then a month of equal cost joy! Then death by constipation.
JoeMorgue
If you're "willing to wait" you don't eat pizza.
When I want a pizza I can barely wait the 20mins.
Voggix
Honestly the cost isn't all that different
harshtarg
cheese is fucking expensive
Hawthornen
People really exaggerating savings in scenarios like this. If you cook a lot at home and make a lower quality pizza you save but otherwise..
ArthurPhillipDent
You start making it. Then order a pizza. Then hou have THIS pizza for dinner tomorrow. And make more dough tomorrow when you have that.
