Hike to Maggie's Peak

Jun 18, 2021 3:55 PM

The wife and I went to the Tahoe area to hike yesterday.

Parking lots were crowded but the trail was nice and empty, only encountered a few people on the way up.

Unfortunately we didn't make it all the way to the top.

While we are fairly experienced hikers, we're not used to being at 8000+ ft altitude.

It became pretty difficult to breath after a couple hours.

Still got some amazing shots of the lake though.

One more shot on the way down.

High altitude creeps up on you, then all of a sudden you realize you're winded & if you haven't felt it before, you start to panic a bit.
