I really used to be very jealous that I can't draw very well, little artistic talent even if I try. But after many years I have come to realize that even though my jealousy still exist deep inside I am extremely grateful that such talent exists in the world and especially now that people are able to share it around the world. It's not just about the ladies, the overall quality is amazing. I always upvote art, and I hope every artist gets some good recognition.

There's a simple technique to prove it: take any image and turn it so you're looking at it upside down, then try copying it (not tracing). Your left brain will hand off the task to your right brain, because the left brain can't easily interpret what it's looking at. But the right brain doesn't care about that, and will happily just draw whatever it sees.

'Artistic talent' is a myth. Some people thought I had talent; the truth is I just grew up reading comics and occasionally trying to draw.
The simple fact is that ANYONE can learn to draw. If you can control a pencil well enough to write, you can control it well enough to draw.

AH, SEE, I've got you there! My handwriting is crap, even if my spelling and grammar are great. It takes great strength in the moment just to print legibly. For some reason even though I've enjoyed writing as a kid and still have notebooks full of stuff from adulthood, those shapes and lines still fight with me everytime I put pen to paper. Nowdays my PC does all the work. Thank you, though, I very much appreciate the encouragement.

Well you'll also be encouraged to hear I have that same problem. Great writing & spelling, but my handwriting has always been terrible. I think it's because my brain was constantly swapping back and forth between thinking of what to write, and how awful and inconsistent the letters were.
I can probably write neatly and consistently, but it would be incredibly slow because I'd basically be drawing it.

I spent all yesterday messing with my fresh haul of CRTs / 286 machines - they are all CGA so far unfortunately :D. There is a Tandy in there I haven't got running yet that will net me a few more colors I think. It is truly remarkable what they pulled off in Prince of Persia with only cyan magenta white and black though.
