My local Sonic apparently doesn't understand what "easy ice" means. 6 inches of ice in an 8-inch cup. A solid two pounds of ice. I paid for a 44 oz. drink and it had about 16 oz. of actual drink in it.
There's a point where it's not just a bit excessive, it's ridiculous and insane. I could go buy a ten-pound bag of ice for what this cost.
DesertSpiney
That's proper use of a PD Stick!
chefsoda
Amazingly, the ice costs more than the soda, so they're screwing themselves & the customer!

Why not just ask for a free refill in a friendly way instead of getting bent?
WebMaka
This was an online order picked up on the way home from work.
Oblamer
Lolol! Yeah that would be annoying, I like that you measured it.
Perfzilla
yeah but it's crunchy soft ice
WebMaka
True, but I wanted more than a dollar's worth of drink. I want ice with my drink, not drink with my ice.

Git of my lawn, er, give me more actual drink!
mrgti1983
Order a drink no ice and a cup of ice. Mix as needed.

Easy, Ice.
spoiledbabykitty101
Either the worker only saw the word ice and incorrectly assumed it meant more ice or they're a dick and wanted to mess with you.
WebMaka
Both are equally plausible.

Or you can just communicate more effectively.
WebMaka
The fact that it's on the receipt shows that the communicated request was understood. The implementation of said request, OTOH, well...
Arcygenical
I don't even live in the USA and I immediately knew what that drink was. Also, that's horseshit. 3$ for ice.
Arcygenical
Also is that a fucking styrofoam cup?
WebMaka
Yep, welcome to Murca, we still have styrofoam packaging here.
Arcygenical
What in the backwards-ass victorian era horseshit is that! Ugh! But I do love sonic cherry limeade....
WebMaka
You can make it yourself, and in bigger quantity, with a good cherry syrup and cold Sierra Mist. Speaking of, I need to order more syrup...
