Bite-Sized Revolution: Eat Something

I think around five years ago (?) a depressed Imgur friend told me they'd like a gentle nudge for cooking and cleaning every now and then. I decided I can't do much, but I can post about that. This is one of my Imgur communities. I have many friends who struggle with depression IRW and it's hard to feel so helpless. So I do this.

But the interface is worse, pictures don't load, and I get so many boobies in my face every time I open, I've stopped recommending the site to friends. I can't even open it waiting n line at the grocery anymore. It's softcore porn. Hey, I love NSFW. But this isn't that. The site is changing in gross ways. Do we stay or go?

Today's invite is pants optional and TWO levels of challenge.

If you're not feeling like doing a challenge today, skip it. Cooking and cleaning do not solve depression and some days neither of those tasks are feasible. If you feel guilt, you're letting this Bite-Sized Invite be more than an invitation.

L1: eat a sandwich. Peanut butter and jelly is acceptable but what about one that allows you to stuff a few veggies in? Maybe Swiss, ham, and arugula? Roast beef with extra onions and peppers.

I'm making a Raquel. It's a Rachel with fresh jalapenos.

Pumpernickel bread toasted at a higher temp. Melty Swiss cheese goodness.

The thousand island dressing.

Sauerkraut on bread to carpet and trap the thousand island dressing. Jalapenos and turkey is on top.

I forking loved it. Wow. The fresh jalapenos were so nice and so hot my lips vibrated a little when finished. That has happened before but usually with much hotter peppers like habaneros.

L2: if at all possible this weekend, eat a fresh tomato.
