Sure, but he's liable to do that ANYWAY. Even for an authoritarian, the capricious and impulsive nature is a problem, because NOBODY can reliably be on his "good side" long enough to see real returns on fealty. I say it's better to sue and get damages - cash in hand is real and more durable than Trump's unpredictable "favor."
