Our blind pupper, first week after moving. He's still getting used to the new layout to everything. When he gets anxious he'll come and lean real heavy against one of us. We love him.

What a wonderful Doggo!

Good Boi Felix!!! As long as he has you guys and his bed, he’ll be golden!?

when I had a blind dog, I got so used to him that I kinda forgot other dogs could see!

Missed my grandkids leaning all over me during quarantine. It’s just the best. Doing their thing, videos, legos, books, games, & leaning
Otomasoteraph
He just need a few encouraging boops and some time. (and I love him too!)

You can put different air fresheners or oil diffusers or whatever so that rooms smell different & it helps them navigate

We have a blind pupper, too. Born without eyes so she doesn't know any different. Awesome to watch her overcome obstacles. She's amazing.

I remember being so worried for my dog when he went blind, but he adapted like a champ. dogs are wonderful.

Dogs are great at working through disabilities. Dog loses a leg? Oh no guess I'm a tripod now, oh well, let's go for a walk!

That is a beautiful pupper! His floppy ears are adorable. Felix gets all the scritches!
Gheebun
Sadly, Felix doesn't like having his ears touched. We're working on that. But he loves scritches around the neck
badgerbadgerbadgermushroommushroom
Maybe make a soft noise with your hands right before touching them. Slowly increase frequency but make the same soft noise every time.

I'm sorry to hear that but you will get there.

Do you punish him by moving the furniture?
Gheebun
We recently moved, from a condo to a house, different floor plan, which it's taking him time to get used to
YouAreMyFavoriteMoose
Does he have, or could you get him, a bumper collar?
Gheebun
We've been draping sheets and towels over things he could get stuck under and we slowly walk him around every day for the bigger stuff

What kind of blind? Some can be fixed with surgery. It can be a heavy financial burden but might be worth looking into if you haven't yet.
Gheebun
He was a rescue, and both the vet and the foster family that had him before believe neglect and abuse led to his blindness
Gheebun
also, it's sadly more then we could afford, but the procedure to try and repair his eyes would only have about a 50/50 chance of success
thisiscatman
Thank you for looking into it. That's all anyone can ask.
