I keep going back and forth on this pseudo-sexuality crisis. I don't know enough about things to find the proper label for my attraction to people, but good news, I'm definitely not straight. I guess I should focus more on what I want rather than who I want it with? That feels better, because I just don't think that gender matters to me anymore.

I've got a lot on my mind right now. Been much more social lately, both in meatspace and cyberspace, and it's a very different feeling for me to actually meet and talk to people. I've been really enjoying the company. Just... feelings I guess. It's nice to look forward to things again.

I think people can sometimes get lost in the weeds worrying about overly specific labels for sexual orientation, when in reality you can always just follow whatever path seems enticing and see where it leads without ever naming it at all.

Hell yeah. It's also obviously not something I can prove, but from my experience interacting with people, I get the feeling that over emphasis on rigid identifiers of sexual orientation can in many cases make people's sexual behavior more rigid. Straight people feel like they've got something to lose and gay people feel like they've got something to prove.

Yeah, to me it was just another layer of figuring out how to invalidate my own experience rather than just see it objectively that "I find this person attractive, do I really need to look this much into it?" I already cross gender borders being trans, so it just felt like oppression with extra steps.

Beautifully said. You feel what you feel. I like to think of it as “labels are for other people”, as in, labels are just things that are sometimes useful to describe how you feel to other people. I’m a big fan of “queer” because it’s intentionally deconstructive. Anyway.. love your posts! You’re not alone!
