Chicken & Egg Stir Fry, TASTY!

INGREDIENTS
Serves 2.
1 Tbsp. canola oil
2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
2 cups asparagus, chopped
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups cooked egg noodles
PREPARATION
Heat the oil in a pan over high heat. Cook the chicken with salt and pepper, browning the sides. Add garlic, then cook until garlic starts becoming translucent. Add asparagus and cook for two to three minutes. Add the soy sauce, stirring evenly until the chicken is evenly stained.
Create a well in the center of the pan by pushing the chicken and asparagus up towards the sides of the pan. Add the beaten egg in the middle, stirring until egg is cooked. Toss in the noodles until evenly coated, then serve!

Are people really that bad at cooking where this helps? It's just some basic shit cooked in a single pan.

10 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 11

Yeah, but there are simple cheap meals that aren't random crap thrown in a pan.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Generally I just cook what I like to eat in restaurants, tacos, French dips, general tso, lo mein, baked penne etc.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes

I like the ideas some of them give me...some are look not so great (overkill on butter/cheese) but ones like this give me cooking ideas

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

The reason for that is because they're otherwise flavorless dishes. They usually call for excessive amounts of strong cheeses because of it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Yeah how are people this bad? Don't they skill up their cooking at birth?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

This isn't how you make stir fry... this is chow fun. (certified quarter Chinese guy). Also BROWN THE GOD DAMN MEAT! Brown is flavor!

10 years ago | Likes 137 Dislikes 3

Every time I make stir fry and try to brown the meat, I end up over cooking the chicken and it turns out really chewy and dry.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Use dark meat, dont crowd the pan, season with salt before cooking, and oil you need it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More heat, cook in small batches, make pieces bigger so the inside doesn't dry out. You can soak it in water or broth for 10min before.

The Maillard reaction is a chemical reaction between amino acids and reducing sugars that gives browned food its desirable flavor. ~WP

SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS!?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also MSG. you need it. trust me. it's good. And I guarantee you aren't allergic to it.

10 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

I fucking love msg. Its better than salt!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its so fucking good and MSG gets such a bad rap in the states. It's unfortunate.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

There was some lady who said that it gave her a headache way back when, which was not the case.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Season your meat before you cook it you mongrels.

10 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 8

There's actually a line of thought that you shouldn't. Drawing out moisture and such.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

and cook your aromatics first. it's like they've never fucking cooked before.

10 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2
