My old friend is 16 years old, he's had both his eyes removed, and beaten cancer. He struggles to keep his feet under him on the hardwood floor now so I got him grippy socks. Apparently they were the final straw, he just laid there defeated until I removed them.

I put down lots of no-skid runners for mine. It worked pretty well for us. Hope you can get him used to them.

We put them on for a little bit at a time until he got used to them. He's grown accustomed to being carried at this point though lol.
