Or just use a 10 stop ND filter, expose for 5mins at f/22 and if no one's stood still in that time there will 'no one' in the picture. Easy.

Imagine hauling a tripod with you all day, just so you can take pictures that are already online. Just fucking enjoy the experience

I don't carry a tripod, and you don't need perfectly centered photo's for this, just stand in roughly the same place.
