Hi, Imgur!

This is your favorite fandango expert, sent here by heaven itself to set some things straight.

I'm specifically using the faithful spouses analogy because a GOP Senator used this to try and discredit the protests during William Barr's testimony. He said that calling protesters "mostly peaceful" is "like calling Scott Peterson a mostly faithful husband, or Al Capone a mostly law abiding businessman"...

...which is a gross mischaracterization of what "mostly peaceful" protests means.

Sources for the above:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/06/22/who-caused-violence-protests-its-not-antifa
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2020/06/17/trump-warns-leftist-violence-dangerous-threat-emerges-right-wing-boogaloo-movement

Again, I hope this is easy enough to understand for those who keep missing the point.

(with apologies to colorblind people)

I lost count how many times this had to be explained on Imgur via a series of comments, either by me or someone else.

And there you go.

I don't know why people pretend this is what "mostly peaceful" means. Are they being obtuse on purpose? Or are they truly unable to understand the difference?

Let's make a deal. We'll accept that Republicans are mostly not Nazis, if they'll accept that protestors are mostly peaceful. Fair?

But if a nazi ran as a republican and got the nomination...

Do those Republicans support a fascist president who encourages police brutality against people who disagree with him politically? Do they>>

>>think it's okay to shoot people they disagree with? Are they okay with Trump's fanily separation policies? If so even if you don't want >>

Nothing is more American the protest. It’s exercising free speech. Looting and violence is criminal. Can you make the distinction?

I believe my eyes.

The protesters are a decentralised group opposing specific social conditions and with no lead. Republicans have an explicit leader who 1/
