These are M36 (meaning about 36 mm wide each) geartray. Pretty common to get big jobs on these.

Oh yeah, run that saw through that metal. Hear the blade sing! Usually these are stacked about 4 across to make the jobs get done faster.

They stack so beautifully I could cry. Part of my job I love is that my OCD is pleased easily.

POLES

Yeah sometimes I chop up poles for lights. This was just the easiest way to stack them before putting them on a cart and sending it to warehouse.

Housings!

That's a tape measure with a foot of tape pulled out. These M100 babies are 17FT long and aluminum so not really THAT heavy. I can lift one with one arm just fine. But when I started I had to use both arms so I guess they kinda are heavy.

That stop is a finicky thing.

It needs calibration often, kinda a pain in the butt, I always add a millimeter or two before a cut, measure, and then take away extra bits. (Tolerance is 1/2 a mm.)

The almighty air hose!

This is my lord and savior. Aluminum dust all over your clothes and hat? FWOOOSH! BEGONE! Also used to dust out the aluminum dust after each cut before the pieces get sent to mod for drilling and such.

His name is Itty. He's not so itty as you can see. Really sweet cat but so needy it's annoying. I love him regardless, he's a good apartment mate.

Unnecessary info for the curious; 23 year old who said fuck it to college and got certified in welding and then went and worked in a machine shop. Already got 2 whole years of experience with drill presses, lathes, milling machines, sanders/grinders, welding equipment, and saws.

Life can be pretty fkin sweet sometimes. (even if I'm poor as hell, at least I have a job I love.)
