"I sense you have a slight problem with pollen" - Troy.

Locally sourced honey *may reduce* allergy symptoms.
But it HAS to be local (< 32km/20mi) bc youre essentially innoculating yourself and need ur immune system to recognize what it's encountering.
It's not instantaneous, nor 100%, but it *can* be an effective intervention for symptom management and a plethora of other added benefits.
This isn't MAHA woo-woo...actual limited evidence:

It hit me hard yesterday, I was seriously considering buying some ski goggles or something.

Yeah, I’m actually laid up in bed at the moment. Hence the time I had to steal memes.

I didnt have a problem with allergies until I got older. I miss my allergy free days 😭
TheDirtySanchezBros
Same!
spittleteets
One's allergy profile can change or "reset" periodically over a lifetime, it's a continuous process driven by environmental changes and immune system maturity
UWAGAGABLAGABLAGABA
Well. I'm 38 and so far 0 allergies
spittleteets
I know this sounds very much like "I made up a story to to support my internet argument", but my cousin never has allergies, then became incredibly allergic to tree pollen at 40.

There's someone that jogs with a filtered mask on and I wasn't sure if it's for pollen, bacteria or some runner trick
TheDirtySanchezBros
Sounds like a good way to get some kind of cardiac event.

If it looks like this, it's a oxygen deprivation/altitude mask.

Athletes train with it to increase their endurance and VO₂ Max (max volume of oxygen your body can put to use per min).
Similar to training with a weighted vest.
azazyel
That's what I was wondering, I'll have to look closer next time. IIRC it had side filters but they could be going for the same tihng
spittleteets
True, that's very plausible! Could possibly be a "prepper" as well.
TheDirtySanchezBros
This one tickles me.
