I'm not some acab person I know some cops who are good people in my small town and I've ran into some real asshole cops who try to get me with anything in the book. I know this is absolutely not an unpopular opinion but I couldn't think of a better meme. Also what unpopular opinion puffin really is an unpopular opinion.
As I was saying, if a cop can lie to get you to say something why shouldn't that be considered purgery. After all, there's been psychological studies done where humans will believe they did something if you photoshop a picture of them doing a task as they were young and show it to them.
This was just a response seeing that Ohio was the first state to ban police lying to minors. That should be a broad law across the u.s at any age. (Imagine the plea deals people wouldn't have to make).
Tldr: cops lying is no different than planting evidence.

I know it's not the same as the oath to be sworn in, but they take an oath when they become police. Why should cops be able to lie?

think being undercover is? Not all oaths on the planet have a clause about lying. This isn't like becoming a knight in the medieval times.
