#21 That's my home! Pioneer Square! I lived there and the block around it for 3 months back in college, and still for years took my lunch to eat while sitting up on the rail of the waterfall. One of my earliest memories is someone putting me atop one of the pillars to see and reach out to the dalai lama when he came to speak for PDX.

Specifically, I was complaining to him about another friend in common that had recently had a kid and done that, not knowing that his wife was pregnant, and had already picked a stupid spelling for an already uncommon name. After that she was never particularly happy to see me, and it eventually led to not hanging out anymore.
