Filmed on location in sunny Jamaica!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was one smooth criminal.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wasn’t this a firework explosion inside the car or something? Remember seeing this a while back.

7 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 1

Yeah I cant remember but its definitely not lightning.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I feel like an entire (1) butt load of people comes out of nowhere toward the end of the gif

7 years ago | Likes 446 Dislikes 3

Ok so I wasn't trippin.. there's so many

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

No shit

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Yeah it reminded me of when they're creeping around in a zombie movie and someone makes a loud noise and they pour out of everywhere.

7 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 0

It almost makes those scenes make more sense.

Look for the helpers

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They probably heard the nearby bang from the lighting, and someone probably screamed, "someone got hit!"

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

ye i think that was pretty loud

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was the “lets all travel in one car incident” that inspired Queen to create the “thunder bolt and lightning very very frightening” lyric

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It wasn't lightning, it was a transport beam.

How much would you shit yourself?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imagine what that sounded like from inside the car.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

and that's the truth, or may God strike me dow...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Happened to my mum, apparently sounds like someone emptying ten buckets of golf balls onto the roof at once - her words

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you were to photoshop the car out of the video until the lightning strike, it would look exactly like a scene from back to the future

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Where did so many people come from in the end

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We get it, u vape.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Appreciate that he turned his hazard lights on before pulling over.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Incredible presence of mind to put on their hazard lights before pulling over!

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Can’t believe they work after that!!

probably "just" a reflexe, but a good one

Kinda fucking useless since it can't even fully cook a Honda... It's electrical systems are still working even....

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Must be the one from Tiberium Twilight if it couldn't even kill a car in one hit.

How this can be possible sinc car are not grounded.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anything's grounded if the voltage is high enough.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it's not lighting... read above... explosion in truck

They're at 276 after 3 hours, which comes too 92 upvotes per hour. Slow it down people!

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Dear OP, if my calculations are correct you should receive this comment when you see the DeLorean struck by lightning...

7 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 0

...first, I want to let you know that I’m alive and well and have been living in the usersub.

7 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

Lies. You said you were "well" and the contradict yourself and say you're in usersub. Can't fool me.

Nope, in most of the hundreds of times this has been reposted, established it's an explosion in the trunk. The "lightning" is a CCD artifact

7 years ago | Likes 102 Dislikes 0

Sauce?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Makes sense, no way such a low quality camera would'nt be entirely blinded for overexposure at that distance. Lghtnng struck cars don't fume

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

CCD artifact?

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

When pixels on a CCD sensor get over-saturated they bleed into nearby pixels, creating smear and blooming. Google "ccd smear" for examples.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's pretty darn interesting in its own way.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yep, a lot of this doesn't make sense, especially that the lightening traveled down to ground level when there were higher buildings. fake

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not fake. It's just not what the title described it as.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. "Fake" implies it was staged. You're correct it's just mislabeled.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was wondering about that, since rubber tires should provide a fair amount of insulation.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Yeah, me too. With the 10% of the brain humans use.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Myth. Air is way more insulating and the lightning just crossed thousands of feet of air, 8 inches of rubber won't bother it at all.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Also, most tire rubber has carbon in it and is conductive.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The comparison would be between the rubber and nearby metal grounded objects at the same height.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lightning does not always follow obvious rules. sometimes it's heading straight for something then veers at right angles, etc.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wasn't going 88

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Where the hell are Marty and Doc???

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They couldn't make it, best we've got is Morty and Rick

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

they didn't hit 88 mph

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it possible that the smoke is from all the airbags going off at once? I was in a wreck and all i remember is thick white choking smoke.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It depends; were you doing heroic thunder-dong style bong rips as you drove?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This’ll probably expose a lack of knowledge on my part but doesn’t the car form a faraday cage so it’d pass the charge around the occupants?

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That's exactly what happened here. The charge flows through the car body into the ground.Look at the cloud of water vapor as it hits the road

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Water vapor! I was trying to work out what it was, smoke or something. Well spotted.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Correct, in theory they should be completely safe.... But you know manufacturing errors or post factory modifications can screw that up

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Completely safe untill they touch the outside of the car. You need to run up to a lightpole and touch it with your door to get rid of the

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

excess charge, or so I've been told on the internet somewhere.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but the cage gets hot, if not outright evaporated.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Evaporate a metal cage? Uhhh...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't quite think so

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't think a thunder strike can evaporate metal?
