Getting tired of these

Is it just me, or are these things getting sillier every time someone comes up with a new one.

This one cannot even be answered. And if you try to tell me it's 44, you have to prove to me how.

And for reference, the 'correct' answer being given is 44.

the smallest plates taken off is ~5.294 (90÷17). So, the final equation equals ~50.471 (858/17). 44 is definitely wrong either way though.

Man(M) = 5. Mask(S) = 3. Dumbells = 1 per weight (W). Bottom images = WWWWWWWW+MSWWWW+S (man holding weights there and in mask). 8+12+3=23.

Except silly me didn't see the multiply symbol. So now I'm getting 44, because 8+(12x3)=44.

23 if you can assume that each weight on the dumbbells = 1 and the bars themselves are 0. Otherwise it's fractional and I didn't do it.

It's not a real equation. There is nothing to indicate if we add the weights and mask or multiply them.

Again, that is assuming that the bars are zero. But that doesn't make sense as zero = nothing when it comes to physical objects.

In other words, if the bar equals 0, then the weights have nothing to be on.
