When I slice pictures of peoples faces with a scalpel I get kicked off the bus. Maybe it's the instant Polaroids and the eye contact.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

'The hell is washi tape?

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Decorative tape, essentially

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is really cool and you broke it down to make it look so easy

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

v

7 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

Even knowing how to do it, and being able to do some of that, that's damn impressive

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I remain convinced that guy had at least 3 arms.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Or a very nimble dick.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fake news. Washi tape sticks for shit!

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Really? I stick posters to my wall with washi tape. Comes off clean.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea being easy to remove is usually a characteristic of a weak adhesive. Doesn't mean it won't do light duty stuff like hold up posters.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tape brands like Duck now sell "decorated tape"--looks like washi tape, performs like real tape.

I predict you’d go through 3 or 4 inkjet cartridges just trying to get the pictures the right size.

Truth

I made a knit one once. Wasn’t worth it

xd

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

They sell better made plastic ones with hinges at toy stores and you could just glue pictures to that and it probably costs less.

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

(Name checks out.) Soured on self-made thingies, other than lemonsandwiches, are ye? v

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yeah to justify this, you'd also have to give them the video file of you making it so they can appreciate your hard work

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but cutting right through the man's eye

7 years ago | Likes 1123 Dislikes 5

Yeah, this is why I have no interest in ophthalmology.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I came here for this comment.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Who has that many pictures?

7 years ago | Likes 231 Dislikes 16

Women.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People with friends

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I realized this the other day. Total there may be 100 pictures of me my whole life. I have 350 pictures of my daughter just from July.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The bigger question is who would trust themself with such a sharp knife?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My mom.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or that many people in their life?

Well they don't have to be of YOUR family.

How are they cutting the pics without cutting the tape?

7 years ago | Likes 254 Dislikes 4

If it’s a tape bit it should need cut as those bits are staying together anyway? I’m not sure. Hrm.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

How can the tape be real if the pics aren't real?

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

This should be top comment !!

7 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 3

OMG my first thought watching this vid

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Looks like the cuts over the tape is done lightly so it folds but doesn't go through the tap. Deep cuts where no tape.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Tape *

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Every picture but the first looks to be added individually as pre-cut squares, so there's no chance of cutting through.

7 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 0

The tape is double sided, still works if you cut one side.

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 23

I choose to believe this was a joke that didn't land.

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Bingo. I'm sorry I disappointed you all

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That sounds like wayyyy too much work

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

if theres tape in a spot, you don't need to cut it. Think about it some more my friend.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

But hold up.. he brought up a good point. How do they cut the picture without cutting the tape??

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Put 4 blocks together, no tape, or spend even more time re-taping those spots

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

The parts without the tape can still be cut. The video doesn't even show him cutting the parts with tape though.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only cut the lines that aren't over the tape.

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 6

Then it wouldn't fold right.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

if theres tape there, you don't need to cut it. Please think about it some more.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

The tape is where it folds. If you don't cut the photo there, then you'd have to fold the photo instead, which would look worse.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Not necessarily. Depends on how well you fold it/cut it. I'm sure cutting can make it look worse as well. I'm not seeing your point here

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Yes it would. With tape at those places the cube folds, with tape and picture at those places, same. You'd just get messier looking seams.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The photos have to bend there. You'd need to carefully crease the photos just right to fold correctly. Easier and nicer-looking to just cut.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes, it would be. But if there's glue all the way to the edge they should naturally crease "fairly" well. Depends how motivated you are.
