Below is a link to a Jim Sterling video that I saw earlier and highlights EA's newest shady bullshit.
If you don't want to click the link and watch the video the general gist is EA have been called to a hearing about "loot boxes" and when asked if they think they're ethical they reply with "Well we don't sell loot boxes we prefer to think of them as surprise mechanics" then they completely evade the question and give dodgy comparisons.

It's worth a watch if you have five minutes even if you don't like Sterling himself.

Someone at EA compared loot boxes to buying a kinder egg. But you get chocolate with a kinder egg.
