I found a post on here a while back for the original 90's style cafeteria pizza which had been hand written so I retyped the recipe and put some of my own notes, but the post never really took off and I never bothered to repost until now. So, for my cakeday, here is the world's most nostalgia inducing pizza but first, here is the original:

Remember slap bracelets? Those things were awesome! Whatever happened to those?

This one time in 3rd grade, this kid named Teddy and I were sitting at the lunch table having a gross out contest, he bet me a coke that I couldn't gross him out, I had tried everything in my arsenal, I tried putting lettuce in my nose, smearing apple sauce on my face and nothing! In my exasperation I threw my arms up and accidentally knocked over my chocolate milk into my salad. Then when I moved to clean everything up, he must have thought I was about to eat the now chocolate milky salad and said "Please no! I will get you a coke, just don't eat that!" So if you're out there Teddy, I am still waiting on my coke! And now without further ado, here is the converted recipe by yours truly:

I want to give a special shout out to @thefoodguru. I was going through some hard times when I first made my imgur account, but I enjoy cooking. Their award winning recipes was my first favorite post and with all the recipes to try, it kept me busy and out of my own head when I needed to be. So if you are still lurking around imgur, thanks @thefoodguru!

I wish I could find a pizza that tasted like this or the Mexican pizza.

for any tomato based sauce it is always better made the day before

I feel like those Tostinos pizzas are pretty close to these. The ones that are like 1.50$ and now they are square.

This, I like.

My aunt was a lunchlady. She used to make us some of those chocolate PB bars. Man, those sound good about now. She used to

Give me a quarter for popcorn when she saw me in the lunch line.

The caraway seeds are the real heroes in this pizza. I'm going to make this this weekend

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not caraway, but fennel seed in the Italian sausage.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I guess it would be which sort of sausage was used. Ours were legit caraway seeds.Although, caraway are a type of fennel. We're both right!

This recipe fails to note that the cheaper the ingredients the better the pizza! There's good reason people love government cheese!

My MIL has cooked in a middle school cafeteria for 30 years. She refuses to use the "fancy" Walmart brand cheese on pizza.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I know where she goes goes shopping for cheese...

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I actually favorited it then, and put it in my recipes folder, @op! Still haven’t gotten around to making it :/

Hoagies & grinders, hoagies & grinders…

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That doesn’t look like pizza at all. No thanks

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

You're missing the qualifiers "elementary", "School" and "Cafeteria". Like how a Mexican Pizza from taco bell isn't a pizza.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I guess it’s a murica thing? We don’t have this in Holland. Seriously

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If she doesn't call you "Sugah" is she even a real lunch lady.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I loved the school pizza, because the rest of the time was garbage. Mystery meat and reconstructed turkey.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When do I add the shredded newspaper?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I told many a lie to get extra servings of that pizza... we'd all swear to be each other's best friends to whoever would give us their pizza

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where's the tiny cubes of "Pepperoni-flavored textured vegetable protein"? When do I add the orange grease?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hooray for pizza day! I miss pizza day! The best day of the week!

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It always came with salad and a side of cold green beans!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The biscuits! is there a recipe for the biscuits!?!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This takes more than 3 ingredients. I can't cook this!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The only thing I can remember from school lunches is the cookies.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That pizza may not have been brick oven fired, homemade mozzarella with deli fresh pepperoni but it was the beginning of my love affair

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well that brought me RIGHT back to elementary school.... I seriously thought that stuff was just a microwaved mess

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is terrible. I never understood why anyone liked it.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Memories for sure, and possibly the best hot lunch offered. But come on Imgur, we can make, and are entitled to, better pizza than this!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This post was never about better pizza. This post was about the best pizza.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I knew a kid that liked chocolate syrup on his hotdogs

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I need this pizza in my life... to the store!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That was good pizza, but not as good as the Mexican pizza from high school.

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Pizza Hut stocked my high school cafeteria everyday at 11am

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The octagon ones?

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Hexagon

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

math words hard

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh yes, the Mexican pizza was good but the old style Mexican pizza that taco bell used to make was even better IMO

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

In my high school it was the spicy chicken sandwiches but took home ec all 4 years and class was always before or after lunch (1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same!!! Damn those were good

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hit the salad bar for toppinhs

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So would just eat whatever made in class (2/2)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

'90s or 90s. Not 90's.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

that pizza is owned by the 90's, though

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I didn't know the this way was incorrect. Thanks!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

just putting it in my favorites for that elementary school memory trip

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I cooked one! It was a small challenge to find the powdered milk. The pizza was actually pretty good.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i have it favorited, and i do plan to make it, i just haven't yet.

He & his brother (who own my building) get to discover Creole food. (They're from a mixed SE Asian family, so this should be fun.)

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Sounds good. Do you have any recipes to share ?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Once I get to cooking, yes. Literal pages of them.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Im only putting this oven in my house so YOU can cook for me, what kind of fucky ass deal is that? Context?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's called being a sugar daddy

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So, you're gonna feed your boss and your landlord for free in your free time...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was supposed to say "landlord". And not for free. He's buying the ingredients. I'm just putting everything together.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

So you’re gonna be his free personal chef… red flag!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Preparing food is skilled labor. You add value to those ingredients by preparing them skillfully. This is what is being provided for free

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The other guys replying are shortsighted. It doesn't hurt to make friends with your landlord or boss. Politics, yo.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

But you are cooking for him for free? why? Charge his ass for the labor

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friends will buy expensive cuts for me to cook. An American Wagyu ribeye is going to run about $50 a steak. My plate is my payment.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Did you know people are capable of being friends with one another. Strange concept, I know.
