One of my superheroes is Mother Jones & the namesake Magazine too

As long as I can remember I've been reading Mother Jones and had subscriptions for many years following me from place to place; this magazine is one of the few I can easily read every word, cover to cover despite the wide range of topics.

Yes, it's an unapologetic left progressive magazine but as Steven Colbert famously said, "Reality has a well-known liberal bias" and being left doesn't mean being wrong. The stories in MJ often give a much fuller sense and going deeper, as well as covering topics and stories that rarely are seen in corporate media.

The magazine takes its moniker from a firebrand dubbed, "The most dangerous woman in America" who did as much as almost anyone for organized labor & labor laws in the US and likely the world.

The real Mother Jones endured deep hardship from the Irish potato famine, to losing her entire family to a Yellow Fever epidemic, to losing her home & business in the Chicago fire.

She emerged as a champion labor rights organizer and changed the world as we knew it, and as we should get to know it again

As with so many independent medias since the advent of the internet, Mother Jones also struggles for operating funds so if you have a few extra dollars, euros, shekels, pesos, colones, liras, yens, etc., then consider being their hero and throwing a few their way.
