I personally love the back side of the hill, facing away from the music.Not generally crowded, sounds just as great, and you can spread out.
Then again, I was a sound engineer for a bit. Front row is the worst place to be acousticly.and bands suck and smell bad up close.
Enjoy your distance, and enjoy the live music for what it is. Imperfections, crappy views, and all.
