For those unlikely to know the difference, "tween" here is an animation term, short for "in-between" (1/2)
i.e. the frames describing motion "in-between" the key frames the animators have drawn/constructed. Modern animation does this automatically

That's just plain wrong. Old TVs were interlaced, not progressive, and that has nothing to do with why these frames exist
