This isn't about being able to find the tag filter. I know where it is, I've used it plenty. This is about the fact that Imgur simply *won't* let you add some tags to it. I'm not sure what the issue is. I'll see a post with a tag, decide I don't want to see posts with that tag, but when I try to add the tag to my block list it says "Tag not found".

Imgur you don't need to tell me if a tag exists or not, clearly you have no idea what tags actually exist in the first place. You need to do three things:

1. Look at the tags on a post you're trying to load.
2. Compare it to the tags on my block list.
3. If there's a match don't display the post.

Easy peasy, no need to be like "Uh well we looked and couldn't find this tag so we're not letting you add it". Hell the suggestions feature as you type is nice, keep that. But at the end of the day if I want to add a tag to my filter I should be able to, regardless of if you think it exists or not.

I've definitely noticed this. There are tags that appear almost daily that just plain can't be added to the block list.

Lol. Now if only users would actually add the correct tags to their posts, maybe the tag filter would be useful. Yes, I'm talking about those politics posters who don't give a flying shit.

Yeah I'm of a mind that everyone should tag their posts with relevant tags. For me it's more the endless thirst trap posts. I don't mind the occasional one here and there but scrolling through dozens of people clad in latex every Friday is annoying

Imgur is a poorly constructed meme sharing website that was designed to host images for the porn site (reddit).

Oh 100%, but it seems like they had to go out of their way for this particular piece of fuckery.
