#14 I'm ashamed to admit that this is part of the reason why I decided to exercise at home. If I look like a fool while trying a new workout, at least I'm doing so in privacy.

#11 parallel play. It's actually really great for kids and adults. Especially good for those with attachment issues. Helps foster relationships by doing your own thing but with someone there. Husband & I do this a lot - his pc is in the same room that I sew in. He games, I sew & we listen to podcasts

#5 Now mix it with a Stranger Things Upside Down portal set ....

#11 as someone with a friend circle with a strong desire for parallel play, it’s kinda strange to explain how little I want to do that haha

#6 Wow, I was once treated as a leper by the most unexpected girl for just saying that I don't go looking for casual sex.

Well she was obviously the wrong kind of person for you

She put effort in making it very clear.

i mean wasn't she famously not the most beautiful goddess? like there were a shitload of mortals prettier than her in the mythos, thats why you got shit like medusa's and sirens and arachne, her being fucking jealous. i mean i guess technically she was the most beautiful by virtue of merc-ing anyone that came along hotter than her with some terrible curse.

Arachne and Medusa were actually curses from Athena, not Aphrodite. And the sirens were kind of their own thing, nothing to do with Aphrodite. She was volatile and very conscious of her own beauty and cursed people who failed to demonstrate what she believed was proper respect. But she didn't merc random beauties, unless those beauties neglected her or specifically claimed to be more beautiful than her.

#23 Vegeta is a great dad

I think his character arc from world-destroying asshole to card carrying member of team good guy is one of the best in the series. Goku may be the hero, but he never really changes. Characters like Vegeta and Piccolo are a lot more interesting because they undergo character development.

#7 How does this not end with him slicing her in half?

Just because he was ejected does not mean he was the imposter. Mistakes may have been made. O.O

#22 Not living in the Northeast, "living in different states" is completely different.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Ah yes, the part of the country where a different state is an hour away, instead of an all day drive.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Haha! I went to a wedding 3.5 hours away this weekend. Only took 2 highways but drove through 5 different states. Couple’s house, hotel, and venue were ~15 minutes apart. All three in different states. Bonus: one of my friends who lives about an hour north of me is in an entirely different state, and she cut through yet another on her 4.5 hour drive (yea, 7 states for the win). New England is a clown car.

"The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can’t, not without your help. But you’re not helping. Why is that?"

I have a red eared slider. He's a few decades old. When I'd clean his tank, I'd take him out & put him in a wide area container with shallow walls. He would inevitably try to climb out, and a few times, he'd actually fall backwards landing upside down. I've seen him flip himself over! If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it! It looks exactly like this when he does it. Having said that, it would still be nice if someone flipped the little guy in the post.

#15 train maintenance tech here… a turtle would not derail a train, shells are hard but train wheels are harder and doing 300-350kph in Japan, nice that they’re protecting the turts though, I love those little guys
