I mostly just use the previews in the bar to detemine when the ad is over...

Legal eagle is very good at segueing into his advertisers

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What a rip. I’m thinking the Pirates shoulda never let McCutcheon go...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember when I could watch Commander's Quarters videos without skipping the first two minutes.

Alex is a bro when he puts a progress bar at the bottom of the screen during sell outs so they're easy to skip.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Usually when a lot of youtubers are sponsored by the same company, it means that company had reasonable requirements for their sponsorship.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gus Johnson made an informative video about sponsors.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nord VPN, Express VPN, Raid: Shadow Legends, Hello Fresh, Dollar Shave Club, Squarespace, Audible, Skillshare... am I missing something?

Harry's Razors in the UK, the Economist.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Economist? Really? The newspaper? :D

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe I just listen to too much No Such Thing as a Fish, but they are often sponsored by the Newspaper and offer you a free copy promocode.

Raycon and Raid need to chill... For real. They're both garbage imo

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I like raycon. IMO best performance at the price point.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Way too much bass for me. Completely destroys the headroom. Im an audiophile though so im pretty picky.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Generally me too. I hate earbuds, but when overear isn't practical, i like the form factor of r.c. that's more podcast or audiobook for me

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This comment was sponsored by Raycon.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wish. Unfortunately nobody wants to pay me for those kinds of opinions. Just my professional opinions instead and those take more work.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m looking at you, Half As Interesting

6 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 2

As soon as he's talking about me directly, *skip*.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I hate the fact that within one sentence, he goes from informing to selling stuff. It makes me question how much is for the transition.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I only put up with Internet Historian's ad reads. Because they're completely unhinged.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Internet Historian, LindyBeige and Internet Comment Etiquette have the best ad reads.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yup I can spot the segue from miles away. NEXT VIDEO PLEASE!

I don't mind his, because he anounces that a sponsor segment comes up

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yup, and always around 10 seconds too. Perfect

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he knows

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes I get so annoyed that I think twice if I watch their videos.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

And RealLifeLore.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You rang?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Practical Engineering does it well. Topic intro=> ad info: "This video is sponsored by X. More on that later." => outro => actual ad.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

unless it's a TotalBiscuit one for Squarespace

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sponsor? What? Ads? Not seen ads for many years on Youtube.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But first check out raid shadow legends

6 years ago | Likes 352 Dislikes 1

And speaking of segways, here is one to... glasswire!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes it is annoying, but it did get me hooked on the game..

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Every time I see this it just makes me not want to have anything to do with it even more.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I get the annoyance but people gotta make money and remember hearing raid pays ~4K minimum on sponsorship

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ay, some of their ads have gotten REALLY good.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Use sponsor block

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Have you heard of Raidy shady? My wife died in a plane crash

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

talking of raid shadow legends. is it worth playing? is it an actual game? or is it just an addictive microtransaction store frontend?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tried it out of curiosity. Gets really grindy real fast. A multi-layered pyramid kind of grind without any actual gameplay. It's the latter.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

fair enough, i already have one of those as someone convinced me to play star wars galaxy of heroes, so i dont need another one!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Raid is pretty much a Casino that pays the house 100%. Even made by a casino business

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

everyone's tryin to sell something... kinda tired of it. I got adblock for a reason.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's never 10 seconds. Pretty sure they get paid for like a 1-2 minute bit, so I treat it like anime intros and skip 1:30 forward.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unless the video is made by The Internet Historian. His ads are hilarious!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Youtuber talking >>> reinforced concrete and explosives

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends, if it's content i'm really passionate about supporting (EG. Gamers Nexus) I never skip the sponsor. They pay so my creator survives

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Then you get those people that decide to dedicate a full 2 minutes of a 10 minute video to good lol' Raid.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Longer it is more money get,i think 2 minutes is somewhere around 5k depending on your average amount of viewers

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the raid peeps require a min of 1:30 for an ad

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*shuffle*

If YouTube wasn't so stingy with ads they wouldn't have to

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel that If I pay for premium, they shouldn't be allowed to post commercials IN the video

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Exactly, I feel like defrauded. I started banning channels that do that from my recommendations. People make garbage videos just for the ads

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Yea, I haven't bought or payed a single cent into ANY of those parasitic products. Especially when it wastes minutes (yes, minutes) :|

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"I know you're watching a video on how to make mead, But have you heard about Raid Shadow Legends?"

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Premium doesn't really support 99 % of the people making content. For that matter YouTube ads don't do much either.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sponsorships are different than YouTube ads. Creators get a lot more revenue from sponsorships. If it bothers you, then just skip that part.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

YouTube doesn't pay much.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

not my problem

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yea I just skip past them on PC. Guess its harder to do on other platforms?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

youtube on android you just double tap the right of the screen to skip 10 secs, idk about Iphone

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

does everybody know you can do that skip forward thing with the "L" key?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you can go backwards and forwards with the arrow keys too

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your fucking entertainers are trying to earn money to keep entertaining you for free and and you can't even bear to watch an ad? Fuck off

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They still get the money if we skip an in-video ad, the contract is made before the video even goes up. I've talked to and seen 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

YouTubers who say it's okay to skip the in-video ads. 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Imma tell you a secret they get paid for putting the ad in the video, so not watching it won't deprive them of ad-money

6 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Except lacks of clicks or buying in will kill the business or the sponsorship. Where's Lootcrate?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 16

It's here: https://www.lootcrate.com/

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What clicks? You mean the ones already made by viewers, who then skip said in-vid ads?

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Lootcrate is still going strong, it's just that you've forgotten about it and moved on. :)
