My wife struggles with social anxiety and she hates it. It seems to have gotten worse over the last couple of years, but she has finally found something that makes her WANT to socialize. She has taken up game streaming, and it has really helped her open up and interact more, and it makes her very happy.

So, as a supportive husband, I got her a surprise.

Looking real professional now. She was thrilled.

It has been a lot of fun for the both of us. I have been able to support her on the back end, and by creating overlays(a learning process for me). It gives us something to do together, and has brought us closer together.

I know that interacting with people is very taxing for her, but at the same time she is loving this. I am proud of her for her dedication and for sticking with it, and for how hard she works to keep improving her content and community. I love seeing how it has helped her be more outgoing and willing to socialize.

I don't know if her channel will grow, but I know that she has and that makes me happier for her than any level of "success".

Not sure if other people care, but I do, and I wanted to share.

You're awesome for supporting your wife in doing this, and your wife is awesome for pursuing it in the first place. Good luck to you both!

lolol. There are many ways that a few hundred bucks can make people feel better. ESPECIALLY if you can boast about it to strangers online

You sir are an absolute twatwaffle with shit for brains. Social anxiety is very legitimate.

I didn't mean to boast. Things have been really hard for her this past year, and I'm just so happy to see her finding her way out.

Yep. I can tell its a struggle from the pics. so brave. so beautiful

I don't even know what to say 2 that. Just cause we have a few nice things does not mean we are rich, or that she can't struggle with issues

haha social anxiety isn't an illness. social skills are developed, not instinctive. You don't cry when you suck at sports. You practice.

you're not even worth further response. just move on.

I will. thank you. and she is always looking for advice. both technical and community/content wise

Honestly I just enjoy a chills stream with modest engagement.

that is pretty much her. she's no 'hardcore' gamer, and her drive is 80% community.
