First.

My first real meal after surgery. Breakfast club with bacon. Homefries. Both would have made me incredibly sick. I wasn't messing around I asked for it well done. None of that chewy, rubbery bacon. FOH with that.

Eat what you want but be smart

Pancreatitis from gallstones. Gallbladder removed after about a year of random hospital visits. What happened? I wasn't taking care of myself and watching what I ate. Certain foods made me throw up for hours so by trial and error I slowly removed those foods. One by one: bacon, chicken wings and french fries (anything deep fried including chinese takeout), anything spicy, ham and sandwich meat, no beer...! I could do a plain cheese pizza, a glass of wine. Lost weight and figured I could manage. Was wrong and it caught up to me.

Started to throw up blood from the effort. Tore my esophagus or something.

It could have been worse...

I shared a room with a real miserable bastard. He would leave BMs in the toilet and not flush. He paged the nurse every 10 minutes - at 2am because he thought he heard his phone and please cover my feet. He farted like crazy and snored louder than my father. And I hated my father!

Bummed a smoke off his sister and it turns out he is almost 400lbs and they dropped him. Twice. Broke his damn leg. I could not even make this up.

The hospital can be a crap place to be sometimes. "Code Whites", broken jaws and bruised egos, people throwing up next to you, the old lady wheeling in an even older lady who can't breathe (stroking the thin grey hair on her delicate head)...she didn't even know where she was but I offered to get her a blanket and a cup of tea. This was around noon after I showed up at 430am.

Moral or the story? Take care of yourselves. Be righteous. And forget about those chicken fingers and fries. You're not 9 years old. Cook a filet mignon, wrap it in bacon and serve it with a gorgonzola sauce and a bottle of Californian cabernet.

Also shave your balls, wear clean underwear and be clean. You never know when you could be randomly hospitalized for 3 days.

Note to self: repay the people who looked after you, the cat, the toilet and the transportation.

TLDR
Ate crap. Got sick.

She went to 4 different hospitals and of the 4, 3 were full of nothing but dipshits. She got better though.

They were realistic about certain complications. 1 in 300. Glad to hear your mum pulled through.

Dated an Italian girl and she didn't want me to shave them. She was Italian.

I'm American and would be totally squicked out by shaven man-regions. However, to each his or her own.
