I really hate those tiny-dick big truck jackasses. I haven't even had the car for a year. Now my insurance is going to go up because of course the fuckwit that should have ended up either as a stain on the mattress or an abortion didn't bother to stop to help or claim any responsibility. So instead I get to cover it with my collision coverage. I hope this guy involuntarily shits his pants everyday for the rest of his life

To anyone reading GET A DASHCAM. They're cheap, and in the event of this happening, you have evidence and potentially a license plate number
TedFromTEDtalks
I'm a firm dash cam believer, this car is relatively new and I hadn't purchased one yet, I was hoping to get one for my birthday coming up
Metalhead47
This guy gets it. They really need to be standard equipment at this point.

I think I saw Mercedes and Toyota offer them for like $500 for a single front facing ?
Metalhead47
Damn. You can get a REALLY good dual channel aftermarket for that much.
welcometothedystopia
Right? It's cool coming installed but $500 for one digital camera? Pound sand.
Spice002
It's really stupid that new cars have rear (and in some cases front) cameras for sensors yet don't also use them for local recording.
Metalhead47
Tesla has figured this out, hopefully others will. Or insurance could just issue them.
Metalhead47
Dashcam, @op, dashcam. Preferably dual channel.
TedFromTEDtalks
Dash cam is on my wishlist for my birthday coming up, but yeah I should have just gotten one when I got the car...
Metalhead47
Even the cheap ones can be pretty good. Rexing on Amazon is <$100 and pretty reliable.
Metalhead47
Actually, you want one? I got a real nice one NIB that's been sitting on my desk for like a year.
TedFromTEDtalks
I'll never say no to an offer like that, what kind is it? Just out of curiosity
Metalhead47
It’s a Street Guardian dual channel, nice unit and the previous one served me well. Bought it a couple years ago and never even opened it.
TedFromTEDtalks
Absolutely, that sounds like a great unit!
