Prolly going to die in user sub but long story short I thought there was something between them and after she broke up with me he defended everything she did. I've known him for 15 years and considered him a brother until this.

@GloriousGreenNinja here are some words to live by. "Don't concern yourself with the garbage that is in someone else's can."

The best thing you can do when someone steals your woman is let him keep her.

was married 23 years. he cheated for 9 years saying she was just a buddy. they have a kid together now. people suck.

An actual confession bear? +1

They're an endangered species

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Brother, be love and don't look back...people like that have no place in your world and you are bigger than such pettiness.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think you’re going to be ok! It’s extremely painful right now, but that will dull. This is an opportunity for you to practice forgiveness.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Buddhism we learn we cant improve forgiveness until we’ve been wronged. Seems backwards, but sometimes painful experiences are a gift

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you ever need to talk, dm me

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This year has been just a bunch of painful experiences honestly. That make sense to because you can't really forgive when there's no wrong

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude....face it: you probably dodged a bullet... cheating is not usually a one time affair... and that goes for both...

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Um... He was probably fucking her way before y'all broke up. Consider yourself lucky to be rid of them both.

6 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 2

Nah, it doesn't work as often that way with the genders reversed. She's probably just using him, and he's probably just a bottom feeder

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

I understand the anger, but why not look at it this way: they probably deserve each other.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know I have no right to tell you this, but focus on your happiness over their misery. It'll make you a healthier person...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This some 20s drama here.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This confession bear has the best clarity I've ever seen

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Keep moving brother ... I know it is hard ATM, but you gotta pull yourself together and that would be even more humiliating for them.

6 years ago | Likes 225 Dislikes 1

Yeah I'm trying man thank you. Finally got a job last week and pulled 57 hours. Just trying to get lost in something atm

6 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

You want hours? Fly-in, fly-out mining/construction. I work minimum 84 hour weeks. I no longer have a concept of weeks or time. Best of luck

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Time will help ;)

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Kudos, start eating healthy, work out, concentrate on work. Became a better version of yourself that when she sees you again she must regret

6 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

I don't really want to better myself out of spite because I feel like it will backfire. I just want to be happy and do what I need to do

6 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Fair enough brother. You do what makes you happy. That is what matters at the end.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah I'm working on forgetting the situation the best I can but shit like this keeps coming up. I just want to feel okay finally

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Was it cause you used this font? Sorry, couldn’t help. I’m sorry @OP

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Probably ? you're good lmao. Just wanted to get this off my chest since it's been fucking with me all day and I didn't care about the font

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No matter how horrid the other person may seem always seek to improve the way you treat your partner. Use anything you can from this experie

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Experience

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He didn’t even ask you first? What a dick

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don’t see a problem here. What she do?

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Found my husband with my best friend. On my birthday. During my party.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yikes, fuck them

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Letting them go was easy. Moving on is the hard part.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is quite a common threesome fantasy after all.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wouldn't want to waste that on them

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

May I propose this: Nobody is yours. Anyone does whatever they want of their time and it is none of your business. Including girlfriends.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now sleep peacefully.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

To be fair, we men, we do some stupid shit, and have been known to think with the 'ol fella from time to time

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That said. It's not cool, I know I've done enough dumb shit in my life, and man it still causes me to wince

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's schadenfreude time !

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Consider it like treating a disease before it gets worse. You're better off now.

6 years ago | Likes 232 Dislikes 0

Like the wart I have on my toe? Really should work on that little bastard...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree fully I just can't shake the feelings attached for some reason

6 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

That's because you truly were attached my friend. It takes time to dissolve the attachment. Hang in there, you're doing the right thing

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Try to not let it eat you...write them both out of your life and never look back...you deserve better

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It will take time to move past both of them, and what they did. Don't let it influence future relationships though (easier said than done)

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm just scared I'm not going to be able to trust the same way I did with her again. I'm already finding myself doubting people more

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You’ll figure it out. You just have to be pickier. 2 years after the divorce and life isn’t going too bad. Girlfriend now is pretty awesome

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Turn that into realistic expectations...doubt is understandable, distrust can be corrosive, you will deal with both for a while (2 years?)1/2

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 now is your chance to evaluate what you really want from life, your partner, future - honesty is key

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This literally happened to me 8 years ago

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It fucking sucks idk if I can trust someone the same after this. I hate shitty people so much

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a high quality picture

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

So crisp!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's what I said when I downloaded it ?

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Had this exact thing happen to me. I got over it but the friendship was gone forever

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What did you do to work through it? I've been in a cycle of depression from it I think and I'm struggling to break it

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Remember that it's not your fault and they both acted selfishly. Your sadness is valid, but you'll be better off in no time at all

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Thank you man I really appreciate it. They made me feel like it was my fault for the longest time but I know they're just shitty people

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's not your fault. Don't punish yourself for other people being shitty! It'll be hard & will take time, but do what's best for you.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ex cheated on me with best friend over 20 years ago. still a happily married family. can't be mad at that. life is funny sometimes.

6 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

I was going to say I've met people who were with the wrong person. It happens and maybe someone can be better for them

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah I’m pissed if I get cheated on for some random... but if it ends up being the one.. then welp, it was meant to be.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This will sound harsh, but consider that they might be right for each other. You may be the reason they meet. Sorry for the shitty optimism

6 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

Also OP doesn't actually have any dirt, but enough insecurity to be vindictive and jealous.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I don't remember telling you about everything from the relationship? Crazy amount of assuming coming from nowhere

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is exactly what this story asks us to do.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Instead of assuming just ask? I'm open to share my story man no one said you had to assume

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The story as it stands is you were suspicious of them, and after the relationship was broken off they ended up together and you wish badly

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I met my husband while I was dating his friend. I was head over heels and was giddy when the friend broke up with me.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

We've been together 10 years, married for 3, and I'm super happy.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I hope your penis is way bigger.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Prolly not ?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey, you fucking stay positive!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He sounds positive it's not

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey man the depression has been eating away for years now positivity doesn't come often ?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ah man...if you’re serious I’m sorry bud. Life’s shit sometimes but then you get glimmers of awesomeness. Hold you head up.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

On the bright side you're wiener cousins now.

6 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 4

I prefer "Eskimo brothers" but then again it was long distance and when we meet we didn't do anything so I don't think it applies ?

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

Cave mates.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, so you’ve come to learn the age-old yet tried and true statement: Long Distance Doesn’t Work!

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yuuup I was going to move at the end of this year to be with her. Still moving back due to family but like yeah I'm never doing it again

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That is my preferred terminology as well.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wut?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Username checks out ???

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What exactly is coming to them?

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Idk heartbreak? ? The way they both treat people is going to come around and bite them at some point

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Fair point.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Is there something more to this story, or is it just because they started dating after you broke up? Because if it's only the latter...

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

He threw me under the bus and defended everything she did to me and just treated me like shit for a girl he only knew for a few months

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

What did she do? I'm not taking sides, but sometimes a friend can try and make you see sense, when you're being totally illogical.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This often ends up with the two of them trauma bonding and becoming friends or a couple.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

He was never your friend.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dont worry mate I agree with you...a brother doesnt date a brother's ex, period. It would never cross my mind regardless of the woman

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Why? Doesn’t a break up release her obligation?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2
