Pretty easy recipe... I should have left them in for another minute, though.

1 C Butter
1/2 C powdered sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 C flour

Cream the first 4 ingredients together and then mix in the flour. Roll them into 1 tbs sized balls and make an imprint with your thumb. Fill them with a jam of your choice and bake at 350°F for 15-17 minutes.

Is this considered finger food?

Our family rolls them in egg and walnut pieces, then fills with a bit of frosting

Why are things always dropping there mate? Jam drops, drop bears, etc. Bollocks about the fires btw, thoughts and prayers like we yanks say.
