Dems win the mid terms. AI bubble pops. Idiots look around and get angry at Dems. Republicans dominate next election cycle because only they can "save" us.
I've been saying this for a while... The "Trillions Invested/AI Revolution," is ENTIRELY based on SPECULATION! This is identacle to the late oughts "US Housing Market Bubble Crash," ie., the "Global Economic Crisis," but at least that left behind houses & properties. All this Speculation is based on empty projections & promises, with AI FAIL rate currently on a Geometric curve up. The only things this will leave behind is broken companies, massive unemployment, & a totally FUCKED Economy. -_-
My only comment here is the dude saying AI chip demand is real. That's questionable. Meta is now renting their AI capacity. If demand was actually high they would be using it themselves.
If you have a retirement account, you should contact the broker and dictate that they move any funds currently invested in tech stocks to other investments.
I would argue it was a good thing initially. Reading up on its history was fascinating. I'm sure it played a major part in bringing stability, accelerating globalization and overall more peace. But it really doesn't take much to see that it eventually became a smokescreen to hide large-scale corruption behind artificial complexity.
The markets in the USA are so unregulated that they aren't markets at all, they are ponzi schemes and scams and bullshit, and thanks to our elected officials, republican AND democrat, it's all perfectly legal. Welcome to oligarch welfare 101. They live like kings and we pay for it when their shit hits the fan, and they walk away and do it again tomorrow.
This is a fuckin Xerox copy of the late 00s US Housing Market Crash, the "Global Economic Crisis," that was literally caused by repeal of Glass-Steagall legislation (fuckin DEREGULATION). That's why all that about "NOT Regulating AI," SPECIFICALLY, has been legislated recently. At least the "Global Crisis," left behind houses & properties, & with the current Geometric curve up FAIL rate of AI, all this will leave behind is broken companies, massive unemployment, & a totally FUCKED Economy. -_-
why do you think that spacex is now p[art of indices and pension funds? Why do you think that regulations regarding the sell to retail investors have been relaxed? exit is done, and little people are holding the bag.
Yeahhhhhh myself and my gf been saying this for over a year. Its gonna be another "too big to fail" situation, and then I have to listen to idiot republicans defend it while still complaining about wasted taxes, and waste/fraud/abuse. Can't wait to ask them about how their "free market" is working where its supposed to be if you fail you go under, but if ur butt buddies with the president (and bribe him openly) wellllll then its just necessary for our economy (that was fine b4 AI)
Average people don't want more AI, especially stuff that doesn't serve a purpose.

Before everything got called "AI" and LLMs took off, we had tech like neural nets, deep learning, etc.
They're good at "computer vision" that can do things like recognizing abnormalities in microscope photos of tissue slices, recognizing unripe produce during processing to flick it into a separate bin, and more.
Now we get "Hey, would you like me to write that email for you?" and "Well, we _could_ do this just fine without AI, but if we use AI, then we can market the buzzword and get more $."
I mean it can be useful for things. I can think of quite a lot actually. Be it something simple like cutting down time of generating a list of npc names to a number of seconds, or sorting and categorising terabytes of mixed data. That's kind a neat development. IF it actually works. And IF it's actually available and not behind a prohibitive paywall. And IF I can do that without requiring a full datacenter, or gigabyte sized model for such a small convenience.

They're doing an Enron around regulators.
